(OOC: I didn't realize so much would go on in two days, it's been so slow so far.)

*I wish to walk to check for traps as well*

"So kind of you all to leave me here," Drav says as he walks slowly down the hallway.

Val moves to follow the others, not wanting to be left behind. "Sorry, I will try to keep up."

"We're not shoving anyone into vaults," Jocelyn says with a sigh. She then pokes Baeros in the side. "And you never answered my question."

Drav joins Granite in searching for traps, but like the gnome, he does not find any in the hallway.

"We can put you in the door dressed like a woman with the shawl and waving to them." Baeros retaliates at Brock with a wicked smile but once Jocelyn pokes him two things happen, first, he immediately apologizes. "I'm just.. well... I had a very bad experience with ogres in the past. Sorry Brock. I'm just joking." the second things than happens is that he instinctively reacts to the unexpected touch and hold Jocelyn body tight for a moment. One hand on the small of her back and the other even lower. When he realizes what he is doing he quickly takes his hands back, blushes, waits to be slapped and when that doesn't happen he stares at Jocelyn eyes with yearning but quickly shift his gaze and acts as if nothing happened. All that happened in few heartbeats and Baeros hopes no one noticed.

Regardless of whether Jocelyn slaps him or not, Baeros' actions do not go unnoticed. Brock physically wedges himself between the two, using his bulk to push Baeros a few steps away from her. He then says something to the ranger in dwarven.

Thaddeus, evidently understanding the words, coughs awkwardly. "Perhaps we should focus on finding the cannon for now," he suggests.

(OOC: Translation PM'd to Bishgada since Baeros can speak Dwarven, too.)

"I think we all..." Jocelyn starts to say, but she is suddenly pulled into an tight embrace before she can finish the thought. Despite the fact that the embrace lasts mere seconds, it certainly feels a little bit longer than that to Jocelyn. Everything was moving in slow motion. Her eyes were wide with confusion, and then she feels his hands in which her mouth drops open.

She stares at Baeros once he lets go, her face flush with embarrassment. She looks about ready to say something, but Brock is quick to step between them. "Brock," she says quickly as she places her hand upon the drwarf's shoulder. It was as if she was trying to tell the old dwarf that it was okay. Thankfully, she heard Thaddeus, and she smiles. "Right, cannon, pirates, certain death!" she says nervously. "H-How are those traps going?"

"Looks clear to me." Dahn says, oblivious of the tension inducing moment that had just occurred.

Gallath, who was totally following them the whole time, checks for traps, and places the piece in its proper place. "Of course I play!" he snaps at Baeros. In fact, his whole village were quite good chess players.

Gallath places the knight plug into the wall, then goes to searche the hallway. He finds another floor panel that, if stepped on, will trigger the nearby statues to attack.

Eager to change the subject and move past Baeros' awkward groping of Jocelyn, Thaddeus asks Gallath, "You play, really? You didn't strike me as the, uh, educated type. Where did you learn?"

Gallath checks the hall for traps [TN 65%] (1d100): 63, pass.

(OOC: Looks like Invisible Castle is down again, so I'll make the rolls until it's back up.)

"My whole village was quite good at it. Until they died." Gallath says, in a tone that makes sure the conversation is over. "Now, here is the panel that will trigger the statues. Touch it and I will kill you." Skirting past the south edge, he searches for the last panel, knowing where it is. (Same pattern as this one)

(I presume Gallath tells eveyone which panel not to step on?)

Ouragana lets her gaze travel down the corridor. Since it had been closed off by her Web, it wasn't possible to do that before. Are there any decorations, or anything else remarkable about the place? She feels in her pouch for her bright silver piece, then realises that Bearos has it.

"Seeing as they only trigger when we step on the plates, why don't we demolish them before they trigger?" Drav says motioning to the armors.

Gallath skirts around the panel and moves to the end of the hall to search again. This time, he knows what to look for. He finds a similar panel near the statues.

Ouragana looks around the hall carefully. She notes that the door nearest to her has a club shaped keyhole on it. Of the two doors in the far back, the south one hangs open ajar slightly. The north door is closed and has a diamond shaped keyhole on it.

There are four statues down here. Two are guarding the club door and the other two are guarding the open door at the end.

=============

Gallath checks the hall for traps [TN 65%] (1d100): 54, pass.

"I think I have the key to the club door," Jocelyn says. "But, I don't think I'm going to be able to reach it with a trap right in front of it."
