Weeeellll that went downhill fast... shoulda just torched the Histachii and left the guy standing there... Why do I feel like I have to give people a chance... ah well. Grubnick's doing some 'fiery cleansing' now anyway... and more soon if I survive this.

Oh gnome-boy! Wanna get all your friends together and go turn that place into a smoldering pile tomorrow!?

Woah, torching the place is totally out of the question. They pretty much said they have valuable information! We gotta sneak in, spring Tulbas and get all of their books and scrolls and stuff so we can teach them a lesson.

Once all of the valuable knowledge is aquired, then I guess you can burn the place if you're that much of a pyromaniac.

==>Goblin priest of the fire god, so... yeah. I am.
At least Grubnick has a high wis score so he'll see the knowledge is useful and salvage it before destroying everything else...

Sneaking? Not so much. I'm thinkingg SWAT-style room-by-room enemy irradication.

...of course this all hinges on whether or not I survive until tomorrow... I'll give you guys t3h healz first ;)

So by my calculations, Haahqae is pretty near to Grubnick, and the goblin is yelling. Does that equate to Haahqae being able to hear him?

Ah, I forgot my spell selection for today. I was hoping to use Audible Glamor to make it sound like a patrol was passing by and heard Grubnick's shout, but no I had very different plans for today when I memorized my spells in the morning. Plans which Tulbas kind of threw off by going and getting himself captured.

Oh well, time for Plan B.

As the party's most intelligent member (on this mission... quest... thing), it's my job to always have a plan B.

Edit: I'm pretty sure trying to imitate audible glamour with illusion cantrips isn't really possible, at least not with fewer then 4 cantrips being cast at once.

I think Tristen might have missed the last sentence in my last post.

No problem.

Anyway, we're about half-way through this chapter now. I've decided Gregeddin will 'retire' to his house to recover from his wounds until mgbevan returns. I'll NPC him if I have to, but am trying to avoid it for now.

I hope everyone is having a good time so far.

Still with us, spyguy and chese?

For mercenary work, you have a few options.

One is to be mercenaries for the dragonarmy. This is very dangerous, of course, as your characters are trying to avoid the dragonarmy. Working for them might expose you. Then again, maybe they'd never see that coming?

A second option is to work as mercenaries for the church. Less dangerous than working for the army, but it is a church of evil, so...

Beyond that, your options become much more limited. Carrying weapons is illegal if you don't have special permission, which makes mercenary work difficult if you aren't working for either the army or the church. The poor and middle-class probably couldn't afford to pay you anything anyway, thanks to the new tax hike. But...the remaining rich might be able to afford to pay you and have enough influence to get you permission to carry weapons. So that's another option.

You can also try and seek out the thieves guild and work for them. Highly illegal, of course, so don't get caught.

There may be other options I haven't thought of, as well.
