"Relax," Gaheris tells the woman. "You're alright. We found you here, knocked out and tied up. The innkeeper, Ichabodd, sent us to search for you when he discovered you missing. What is the last thing you remember?"

Kanock, Jasmine and Gaheris (Spare room in south wing)
"The last thing I remember was decided to fall asleep since struggling was getting me nowhere and no one could hear me. Let me think back and remember everything about how I got tied up in the first place." She pauses a bit as her memories flood back and she sorts them into a cohesive order.

"I was walking down the hall to deliver Mazzart's tea to him. Then I was grabbed from behind and pulled into this room by someone enormously strong. I wouldn't expect that I could match an orc for strength, since they're all pretty strong, but this one was on another level all together, it was like trying to fight against a giant. He tied me up without any trouble, even being able to save the tea I was holding without spilling a drop. I got a glimpse of him as he left me, not a good glimpse, but I think it was a male, and it defiantly was an orc. The thing is he was in heavy chain armour, complete with a helmet and one of those nasty orc weapons, but as he moved, I've heard rats that are louder then he was."

"So then he left me, closed the door and nothing interesting happened after that. I didn't want to run into him again, so I waited for him to leave, but I heard nothing after that for what seams like an eternity, so I struggled to get free. I tried to scream for help, but couldn't make a sound with this gag. I struggled against the ropes but couldn't make any headway with these knots. And I was rather tired."

Jasmine does notice that the knots are very tight, in most cases it would be significantly easier to cut off the ropes then attempt to untie the knots. Whomever tied them must be significantly stronger then she is.

Benjamin (Common Area)
Benjamin listens to the two of them as they continue their conversation.
“Well I’m not sure why it was there either, but Axel the sage told us that it taught some of the wisest mages in the empire, before it was abandoned hundreds of years ago.”

“They taught the wisest mages in the empire and they abandoned it because a few imps got into the school? That doesn’t make sense.”

“No, the imps just got in while it was abandoned. Actually it’s pretty impressive the large variety of monsters that managed to get in there considering how well the entrance was sealed up.”

“But they did have hundreds of years to do it, and we got in in just a few days.”

“We actually talked to people like Axel and Avizo, and the latter had an opening stone for the school. Do you think those monsters just decided to chat with some sages and mages to get in?”

“Maybe there were other opening stones we didn’t know of. I wouldn’t be surprised if some band of goblins or kobolds was just letting those null bugs in to piss off the talking spiders."

"He did tie this knots really tight," Jasmine says. She pulls out one of her daggers, and uses that to cut the ropes without cutting the girl.

"A big orc, you say?" Gaheris says, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. He had trouble believing some of this. Why was this woman so unsurprised, so lacking in fear? He had expected her to be a little more afraid, but she was eerily calm even after waking up tied up surrounded by strangers. He wonders if she is hiding something.

(OOC: Sense motive on the maid.)

Kanock, Jasmine and Gaheris (Spare room in south wing)
While the maid has been rather calm and collected given her situation, she does try to withdraw a bit when Jasmine pulls out a dagger. Once it becomes clear that Jasmine means to use it to free her, however she calms down again.

“Well, in that all orcs are pretty big yeah, he was a fair big larger than me, though I didn’t think he was larger than the usual orc.” For reference, you’d guess Sara’s about 5’4”.

I expect I’ll keep rolls such as sense motive, perception or stealth hidden from everyone unless the player easily beats the DC (more then 10, assuming that there IS a DC).

Jasmine looks up to Gaheris once she is done cutting the ropes to free Sara. "I'm surprised you didn't make more noise after being tied up like this. I would have made as much noise as possible to wake someone up."

"Well at first I didn't want to draw attention from the orc again, and I had absolutely no idea if he had left or if he was still around. Then, when I figured he must have left I did try to make as much noise as possible, but that gag was brutally effective, and there is nothing to knock off any tables that will fall and make a sound in an unoccupied room. I tried thumping on the door and the walls as much as I could, which wasn't much admittedly, and no one came. So then I gave up."

After talking to the mage for a while Ishan wondered if he should check on the others he was getting antsy about the trip, despite the mages casual, or insane, attitude he thought to himself most people don't have a rock man as a bodyguard. Feeling a slight pang of professional jealousy despite it's soulless nature he watched Mazart get distracted and kicked the golem on the shin before leaving, the floor lurched under him and he froze before realizing it was movement from downstairs.

He followed the noise, and saw his clients tending to the maids limp form, she seemed okay though. He screwed up his brow, he really wasn't being paid for this but seeing an opportunity he rushed back to Ichabod. "Hey barman those do-gooders found your maid you better go see her it might help her talk about what happened or something."

Heading back to the rooms he overhears something about an orc from the girl, this day just keeps getting worse. He thinks for a second. while watching the drow eavesdrop. Breaking the rule of a career he steps towards the door. "I'm going to take a look around for orc signs, I called Ichabod he should be here any moment if your done comforting the wench you can help." He glances at Jasmine. "Your boyfriend especially might be helpful he's got the look of a thief."

Clamping down into silence again he steps out into the hallway to begin his search.
Perception for signs of vile orcs.

This declaration from Ishan promoted Zurgo to finish his spell preparation from the little orcs room and meet the him in the hallway. "there are a set of tracks leaving the inn from last night, the Unseen Servant i have milling around blatantly eve-dropping on everyone informs me the maid has been found, tied in the closet since last night. so who made those tracks outside you think?"

Gaheris eyes the woman suspiciously. He wasn't sure what was up with her, maybe it was nothing. She just seemed so...robotic, so logical about it all. He shakes his head, deciding for now to brush it off as just her having a weird personality. Personally, he would have expected a woman who was ambushed in the night, tied up and then woke up surrounded by strangers to be a little more panicky or emotional.

At Ishan's comment, he frowns and holds up his hands defensively. "Whoa, hey, I'm a legitimate businessman, I'll have you know. But I do have a sharp eye, I can help search for clues."

Jasmine wraps her arms around Gaheris' waist and rests her head upon his shoulder. "Awww," she says with a pout in Ishan's direction. "You made him all defensive, but it almost cute that you think he is my boyfriend." She gives Gaheris a little nuzzle with her nose before she lets him go. "Go on. Go search for clues. Looks like we are going to be leaving soon."

Satisfied that Sara was going to be fine and with the others seemingly finished with their string of questions, Kanock helps her up, "Come on, t boss will want to see you." and the dwarf makes his steady way back to the common room to find a flurry of activity.

Zurgo, Jasmine(spare room in the south wing)
"Ichabodd! I'm so glad to see you again." Sara rushes towards Ichabodd when he enters the room, but he stops on the sight of Zurgo when he enters the room, and slowly backs away.

"Ah good, you're safe. You had me worried there girl." Ichabodd replies. "Is there something wrong?"

After a bit Sara pieces together some evidence together. "No. Well, if that orc is still here, I think he was our only orc guest staying in the inn right now, and he kind of looks too human to be the perpetrator. I'm guessing the orc that attacked me probably made those tracks."

Kanock, Benjamin(common area)
While there are various people traversing this room with purpose, such as a half orc going from the south wing to the north to find Ichabodd, then coming back with him, and a couple people coming from the south wing to go outside. But besides those the room is fairly calm. The fountain continues running in the corner, the six other guests of the inn continue eating and talking amongst themselves, and the soldiers finish up their breakfast.

"Well this province isn't going to patrol itself, pack up your stuff, we leave in five." Alex orders, getting up from his chair.

Ishan, Gaheris(outside the inn)
(Ishan successfully kicked the golem without anyone noticing, however the only thing it caused was a slight pain in his foot. The golem didn't react, and it would take a lot more then a kick to leave a mark on that thing.)

As soon as he's outside Ishan finds a set of promising tracks leading around the inn to the south. He follows these tracks, surprised at how easy it is to detect them, as they circle the inn, ending at a depleted holly bush. Wait a second... these tracks look rather familiar.

Gaheris finds a different set of tracks, this set of tracks seems to be recently uncovered, as if someone was uncovering clues from the tracks and making them easier to find. This set of tracks leads to the north-east, roughly in the direction of Trevsville.

Ishan makes a survival check to track the orc.
Gaheris makes a perception check to search for clues.

Staring at the holly bush Ishan squints and then pats his pocket for his flask finding it empty he grumbles but maybe its for the best.

He makes his way back to where Geheris is and sees him checking the ground. "Well it seems you found something. These orcs must be cunning I think I followed a false trail. This one seems seems to lead in the direction of Trevsville and that might mean they are heading or the forest."

Standing up he starts back to the inn, "but what you do with that information is up to you."

"Well, she seems safe now," Jasmine says. She walks out of the south wing room back to the common room, and then goes outside. "Gaheris? Did you find anything yet?" she asks.
