The party pushes onward for another three hours when Aleaha calls for another halt. "Hold," she says, holding up her fist. "Something...is amiss."

Sure enough, both Jeremy and Babushka realize that all of the local animals have gone silent. Suddenly, up ahead, there is a loud crack sound as something big approaches.

Aleaha readies her soris. "Make ready," she warns.

A tree up ahead creaks and tilts to the left, as something pushes it aside. Out steps a large humanoid figure, at least 10 tall, with mottled green skin and dressed in animal skins. Perhaps the most striking feature, though, is that it has two independent heads that both turn toward the party. "Mmm, good eatings," says the head on the left. The head on the right merely nods in agreement.

"Watch yourselves!" Jerrard warns, preparing a spell. "Try to take it from a distance." (Casts mirror image.)

Babushka moves to the side, to have room for her sling, and fires.

Babushka hops out of line and fires her sling stone, which harmlessly bounces off the giant just as it rampages forward, knocking aside trees and stomping on flowers, to reach the head of the line.

Aleaha drops her soris and pulls out a beautiful elven long sword and a nasty looking dagger just as the creature reaches her. It bends down, both heads biting at the elf. She knees one head in the jaw, momentarily stunning it but not doing it any harm. The other head, however, bites deeply into her shoulder, but to give the elf credit she doesn't even scream out; more of a little grunt, really. Once she wriggles free, the monster slashes across her with one claw, but she manages to dance aside to avoid the second.

Jerrard warns the party to fight at a distance, which seems a moot point now that the creature has moved forward to meet them. He casts a spell upon himself, and suddenly there are seven Jerrards all standing near each other, making it impossible to tell which is the real Jerrard.

Imani then fires an arrow at the monster, but it gets stuck in its animal hides, not actually piercing its skin.

"What is that thing?" Malika says, doing her best to keep Lanae from sprinting in terror.

"Two-headed troll," Aleaha warns as she slices across the monster's chest with her enchanted long sword. She's evidently stronger than she appears. "Crossbreed of ettins and trolls; we need fire to finish it off!" She then stabs it in one of its legs, and sure enough the wound slowly begins to heal before their eyes.

Jeremy fires an arrow next, but it merely glances off the creature's thick hide, doing no damage at all.

Ulster, having not been given orders, pulls out his bow and fires, but has no better luck than anyone else. Thuskar, obeying Jerrard, does likewise with his crossbow, but his shot also proves ineffective.

Locky scores two direct hits: one with her sling stone, which strikes the forehead on the left and leaves a nasty bruise, the other with her sharp, if rather uncreative, verbal barb. Nevertheless, it hits home. "Who you call ugly, pipsqueak?!" the creature demands. "Me smash you into pudding!" it exclaims, stomping one foot after the other. "Me, too!" agrees the second head.

Aleaha slices into the creature again with her long sword while Ulster and Jeremy fire more arrows. Jeremy's arrow isn't able to pierce the creature's hide, but Ulster's is, thanks to the creature being too enraged to pay attention.

Babushka drops her sling and draws out her longtooth and fine daggers, to attack the monster from the side. She aims mostly for the small of the monster's left knee. Getting it to topple over would be a good thing.

"Not only is he ugly but he is stupid, too!" She shouts Letting loose another sling stone, getting ready to engage him to drive him back to help Aleaha.

The seven mages move towards the creature slightly, speaking words of magic they all let loose magic missiles at the creature. "Keep her steady." He warns Malika gently.

Imani loads up one arrow, lets it fly, and does it again with a second.

Aleaha continues her assault on the troll, when Babushka comes up and aids her, dual-wielding her own daggers. The Longtooth Dagger expands, becoming as large as a short sword.

Thuskar takes aim with his crossbow, but it suddenly jams. "Damn!" he swears, smacking it around to try and unjam it.

Jerrard unleashes a trio of magical missiles, while Ulster, Jeremy and Imani all fire off missiles of the non-magical variety. Unable to withstand the onslaught, the troll falls to the ground with a heavy thud, but at once, it begins to regenerate.

"Quickly now, we must burn it before it rises again," Aleaha warns.

Reaching in his backpack, Jerrard produces a vial of lamp oil and pours enough to cover the creature, "Make sure there is no folliage nearby, we do not want to start a forest fire." He warns as he ensures everyone is far enough back as he sets it alight.

"Are you ok?" He asks Malika as the copies flash out of existence.

Running forwards, Locky checks her Aleahas wounds (Healing check= 1d20=12 (fail)) calls upon Paladine twice (Cure Light 1 1d8=1, Cure light 2 1d8=2), healing Aleaha of some her wounds.
