Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh (This is the Game Thread)

"A chance to test out my skills as a mage," Echo says simply with a shrug. "I'll endure what I have to as long as I have the chance to grow in magical skill."

Kim stand up and goes over to the kitchen. She wants to buy a bucketful of small fish, preferably alive in enough water that they stay so for a while. With that, she walks upstairs to Searos's room. Is the door locked?

[Jenara]

Yes his door is unlocked.

[Breila]

Carefully, Kim opens the door just wide enough to pass through sideways, with the bucket held through first, to attract any missile fire should Searos be awake and suspicious.

Is Searos still asleep? Does he have any weapons ready to grasp?

[Jenara]

(ooc: hmmm, I should really leave that one to Muffin Man, personally i'd say yes, and no...)

[Breila]

(ooc: of course that's his business...)

Searos is still sleeping, his head lolling off the side of the bed and snoring and drooling a little bit. He's wearing his breeches but not his shirt and has a single boot hanging precariously from a foot that is also well over the edge of the bed. He also has a slightly fatter looking coin pouch sitting on his chest tightly clutched in one hand. He doesn't appear armed.

Very slowly and carefully, Kim walks through the room, hoping not to step on a screeching floorboard, prepared to cast a "distract" cantrip far to the right if something happens to wake Searos up.

Once close enough for a good aim, but out of immediate reach of Searos's arms, Kim throws the bucketful of fish and water onto Searos's naked upper body, running over to the wall to the left (away from the door) at once.

[The_Muffin_Man]

Searos screeches falls out of the bed onto his head, his boot flying off his foot and launched into a wall.

He pops up as quickly as he can and looks around with murder in his eyes and is already muttering "Gods above, where is my sword..."

He points at Kim, a little bleary eyed and not entirely sure who that is. "YOU! You stay right there! I need to find my sword so I can run you through proper..."

[Breila]

"Well, I could have killed you right on the spot, had I wanted to. And we could have gone on to the manor house without you. So I guess you're not so bad off after all."

Nevertheless, Kim leaves the room quickly, after casting a smokepuff into Searos's face so he can't make his threat true easily. Kim stays outside the room in the corridor, away from the stairs, so it is no problem to gather up the fish once Searos leaves the room. No need to waste what could be their lunch, once it is properly fried.

(ooc: if Muffin Man doesn't mind, I would be ready to FF to the moment when we set out for the manor)

(I will wait for Horizonsdream, and once she gets a chance to post I shall let the game move on...

Although, as I posted in OCC, someone might wanna visit the Church...)

Amon stands up. "Well, while Kim is seeing to our late rising companion, I'm going to stop off at the church for a quick blessing on our quest. I'll catch up to the rest of you. Come along, Dogmeat." The dog whimpers at being pulled away from all the attention he was getting, but obeys his master nonetheless.

[Jenara]

Brax pushes her food away, "I shall join you, if that is acceptable...?" She looks to Echo, "If that is ok with you my dear?" She winks quite clearly as her actions are clear, Echo notes the Clerics Hand resting on Amon's hip.

Amon blushes at Brax's touch. "Uh, yes, that would be...fine," he says, clearing his throat. What a bold woman! The local women he was used to here in Saltmarsh are so much more demure and meek. Amon had never dealt with such a daring woman before and wasn't sure how to react.

Brax laughs openly, slapping Amons backside, "Coming?" She asks, the comment directed at Echo.
