"I think that is the case." Brax replies sitting cross legged on her blanket, "The Hag forced Shearsea to lure them to her, like she did to us, and the sea-cats killed them..." She adds with her head low, glancing over at Gunther with a flutter of her eyebrows.

"Well great. Mystery solved. Lets go get paid. Hey, do we have any food?"

"I have some, I could share, should we pool what we have and share it out?" She asks, reaching for her pack, "I assume you usually eat fish?" She asks the Trition.

"Oh we sometimes eat seal too, when the hunting was good" Shearsea says. "And many varieties of seaweed are good, too" She eyes the bedroll. "Is that where you sleep? It feels strange to me not to sleep in water, swaying with the currents."

"yes this is where I sleep, I like to sleep beneath the stars, where I can." She smiles at the young triton. "I would like to come with you to your home." She adds.

Gunter feels his stomach start to rumble, "I'm forced to agree with Searos. In think heading back to town tomorrow is a good idea. In the meantime, we should get all of our food together and see what those mages left us with before they dallyed back to town."
(what do we have in the way of food? Do I need to try and shoot something?)

"I have some rations, perhaps you could help supplement them with something extra?" Brax suggests, watching the group, smiling at them.

"Let's see what the council of Dunreese supplied us with" Kim says, searching through the packs of the mules. "But of course, some game would be welcome. Here, there are some vegetables that would help make a good stew" A few wrinkled carrots and partly dried leeks are dug up from the depths of the packs.

(is there enough daylight left to hunt for a rabbit or the like?)

It is near dusk, you might get lucky to even find small deer near the creek where you found the mules.

"I didn't even think to look in there." Brax says with a little giggle, "If you could find us a little game, that would be useful." She says, eyelids fluttering again. "Perhaps you could teach me one day."

Searos watches this interplay happen for a bit before cutting in "Well come on Muscles, go get us some meat!"

Gunter blushes inwardly at the dark-elf and then replies, "Perhaps we can arrange that when we have a little more time on our hands. If you can hunt in the Underdark you can probably hunt just about anywhere." He turns to Searos and says, "I don't much like the idea of being in these woods alone at feeding time. Want to tag along while the ladies watch the camp? I think you might finally be able to put your skills at silence and camoflauge to use beyond stealing a wench's hard-earned pay."

"That works thank you." Brax says with a nod. "Come ladies, let's get on..." She giggles, "Let's allow the men to feel manly."

Kim stands there, considering to join Gunter and Searos, but decides to gather firewood and see to the fire instead. Coren sees to the mules, checking in particular on the injured one. Shearsea stays close to Brax. She eyes Vee a lot, but since she has realised the young warrior doesn't speak any Elven, she has no way of communicating with her.
Gunter's ranger skills make it easy for him to find a place where deer are likely to come and drink once dusk falls. (I need a hit of AC10 from one of you to bring home meat.)
