The Brink [of Madness] Act 1, Scene 1

A classic 2e Puzzle dungeon for High Level characters
Beware, this one is substantially longer and (IMHO) even harder than the legendary Tomb of Horrors!

Jack tosses a few pebbles at the blood bubble. The tiny stones bounce off, sending small ripples across the surface; perhaps something so small or not steadily pushed cannot penetrate the bubble

Ke'Sha doesn't tell anything to anyone without the mind link unless he is asked if there are some updates. And if asked he answers, "They are messing with stuff... nothing important."

[Landro is the only one in the Labyrinth right now that is mind liked to Steve]

Landro shakes his head, The 10 ft pole was left in the pit, helping the pitons keep the walls from closing.

[I thought Steve linked to Jack as well. So Lena, Jack, Landro, and Ke'Sha are linked to Steve. Everyone else demurred.]

[Ah, right. I saw you had rolled but forgot he had consented to that]

Do you have a torch?

Jack opens his pack and looks. (Me looking at Jacks inventory for the very first time)
"It appears not."

Jag will hand a torch to Jack.
"That... that is fascinating... let me get out of the room before you poke it."

Jack waits, then pokes the bubble.

Jack presses the torch against the bubble, which bends at the pressure; like a finger on a large soap bubble...

<<Perhaps living tissue can penetrate the surface. Perhaps we could capture some of the smaller local wildlife and try putting one inside.>>

[I realize my last post was a little ambiguous. if Jack presses harder, it may be able to break the surface]
