Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh (This is the Game Thread)

"Looks like its just you and me then." Brax nudges Searos as he stands, "Anyone else foolish enough to make the jump?"

Searos looks back at the group and at the gap. "You know, its not that far. Pretty easy jump really."

He turns back to Brax, "Well bright eyes, lets check out whats over here and be done with it."

[Jenara]

"Indeed it is, perhaps it would make sense for some of the party to remain downstairs, too look for the 'Smugglers'." Brax smiles waiting to see if anyone else chooses to join them.

(ooc: Amon and Horizon are staying, anyone else? I kind of think Vee will join her)

"I dislike making the same mistake twice" Kim says drily. So yes, I will go downstairs, watch the corridor we came in. Who knows, perhaps our skitty halfling friend was one of the smugglers and got imprisoned as a punishment."

Action follows word, not looking if anyone else comes.

[Jenara]

"Agreed. Stay safe." Brax answers, "Gunter, Vee?" One of them should at least guard the mages.

[Robbo]

Gunter looks at the floor warily, "I can stay with the mages for now. If things get bad yell and I'll be on my way."

[The_Muffin_Man]

Searos waves at everyone as he turns around to explore.

"Alright, you have fun with the mages. I'm going to see if there's anything else of value up here."

[LittleLuna]

"I'll jump. If this floor is strong enough to hold Searos, it will be strong enough for me too!"

Vee throws her staff on the other side to be able to jump, moves a few steps back and follows her staff.

Vee makes the jump easily, joining Brax and Searos.

"Thanks for joining us. Shall we."

In front of the group is a long corridor, matching the one they just left, a further corridor heads to the north, along with an extension of the balcony to the south.

The remaining group descend the stairs, waiting near the front door, they can see the afternoon sun reflected on the broken glass of the window.

Searos takes the first right without waiting to see if Brax or Vee are following him.

Brax follows the Thief with sudden grace, pulling Vee along with her, she glances down at the three Mages as she does so.

Searos finds two doors much the same as the others, and spies sight of a staircase heading up to the attic space. The staircase appears rotten in places with numerous failing steps.

Echo looks to Amon then Gunter as Brax, Searos, and Vee explore the other half of the rooms upstairs. "Well, I'm going back downstairs," she says, turning to do just that. "If there are smugglers, then their hideout is probably down there somewhere. Not up here."

[Robbo]

"I'm going to stay up here a little longer in case they find some trouble and need a hand. Be careful down there."

Vee opens the first door in the corridor.

Vee opens the door to find a dirty and decaying bedroom, in mould the only items in the room are an old rotting mattress and a smashed wooden chest, the whole room smells of mold and decay.
