"Only women that didn't learn to protect themselves?" Galanis teases Liri. Then looks at Angel, wipes his smile and quickly gallop to ride next to Ari. "Hey there... a little bit chilly behind."

Angel says nothing but she places a hand on Liri's for a moment then resumes holding the girl close, was there a place better than this? Where people were not kept like cattle? Musing these dark thoughts she tries to push aside images of Salia, who knows what the girl was going through...

Those thoughts would no doubt invade her already dark dreams, only the girl chained to the bed would the beautiful Elf that rode beside her, or her own all too tall figure, for were they not as trapped as Salia?

"Let us make this a short ride Boy, you carry precious cargo once more.." Stroking the horse's mane the Stallion rears his head with a loud neigh either of agreement or defiance, regardless he rode on, leaving Angel alone with her thoughts.

"Well, they need it most, don't they?" Liri answers loftily to Galanis's tease. "Let's get going" she gives Casta, her mare, the sign to go ahead.

Galanis finds it hard to climb his mount and he groans constantly. He tries to come close to Ari and says, "Ari, you have demonstrated healing powers before. Do you think you can aid me? These wounds are somewhat deep."

"What have you been doing?" Angel comments with a look that suggests that she would rather not discuss the details right now. "Ari, would you be able to assist?"

"Well, they were only children. I guess it took me by surprise. It won't happen again." Galanis says trying to be determined but his feelings are mixed.

[Jenara]

Angels face goes dark, almost angry, he'd said exactly what she didn't want him to say!

"That is a discussion for another time." She responds, moving Praesul away from the injured man, "Don't worry. It's not.. It will be ok."

Ari quirks an eye at Galanis' mention of 'cold' I dinnae, lad, but ye may pic yer comedic timin' a bit more cautiously... he says, the barest hint of a smirk visible in his thick, braided beard.

The dwarf watches with a little amusement as Galanis mounts his horse. Waiting until he is asked, the priest nods. Aye, I'll aid ye, lad. Hol' still...

Taking up his holy symbol, Ari murmurs a quiet prayer to his lord of fire and iron. The golden glpw surrounds his hamd as he finishes, and lays it on the injured companion. He repeats the spell once more. Feel a mite better, lad?

Seeing his wounds close unnaturally, Galanis smiles and shakes Ari's hand in gratitude. "Thanks, you are a true friend!"

The dwarf smiles again, We're all taegether on this, lad. What makes me allies strong makes me group strong. He shrugs as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

"Weakness," says Vani. The young acolyte hawks and spits, as if to punctuate his statement, frightening his horse in the process, then jerks its reins to get it under control. When the others look at him, he says, in a matter-of-fact tone: "Healing the wounded is a waste of a god's energy. It allows the weak to hide among the strong.
"There is a place in the world for the barber/surgeon, but anyone who relies on their god for healing is a drain on the rest of the faithful. Let the wounded man heal and grow stronger on his own, or die, that someone stronger may rise in his place."
He rolls his eyes at the disapproval on the others' faces, then says: "Shall we go? I expect the chattel will be have other needs for you to fill besides transportation. Best not keep her waiting."

The trip out takes the group back the way that they had come. After a short time it becomes clear that the young slave is directing the group towards the last villa they had visited, the winery that had been sacked.

At the front of the column, Liri finds her horse making sounds of recognition, and looking from side to side expectantly. But there is no sign of anything familiar.

Ari ignores the young fool.

[Jenara]

Angel resists the urge to smack the boy off his horse, instead she simply turns her head to face him. "I shall keep that under advisement. When you are injured I shall Remember to leave you there heal on your own." And with that she allows the young girl to lead her to the holding.

'The boy is a fool, fed lies and dark thoughts by an evil man. His words are less than rubbish, after all rubbish once served a purpose." She comments as they get closer.

Galanis laughs at the acolyte remark, "Boy! I haven't expected it. You are hilarious... " he then repeats, "Waste of a god's energy... This is a good one." He smiles warmly at the lad.
