Then I misread "goblin" for "gnome". Shame on me for my human disdain of the smaller races...

Ohhh, now it all makes sense.

I remember ages ago, back during Pod-Caverns, Shay made a remark about goblin construction work. And Babushka took offense. Now I know why!

Xelphyn, who plays Dahn (AKA Shades Grey) in my Lost Souls game, has asked to join this one, as well. I've just granted him posting privileges, and we'll start rolling up his character soon. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Boy, it's been awhile since we last had a new player in this game. I'm trying to remember stuff.

I think...I allowed 4d6, drop the lowest in this game. I can't really remember, but the whole party has some pretty impressive ability scores, so I probably did use that method.

We'll go ahead and start you off with 22,500 XP, which is about the average of the current four PCs. That'll put you at level 5 for a warrior, wizard, or cleric; level 6 for a thief or druid. Those values will be lower if you multi-class, of course. Like my other games, any race and class combination is fine. Breila is playing a gnome ranger, for instance.

You can pick any alignment, but the party currently is overwhelmingly good.

You can roll for your ability scores on Invisible Castle, just like you did in Lost Souls. You can post the results here, for my approval. We'll work forward from there.

Alright
stats here: http://invisiblecastle.com/stats/view/30602/
multiclass fighter4/thief5
sylvan elf(if allowed, if not, then half elf)
not sure about the alignment, but he's not gonna be nice (especially to priests)
not sure how proficiencies work for multiclassed character above level 1, and I don't remember where to find the thief skill rules.

That all adds up to me.

If you want to play a Kagonesti elf, you'll get a +1 to STR and DEX, but a -1 to CON and CHA. So your new ability scores would be:

STR 17
DEX 14
CON 12
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 7

Your character will also get the ranger's Animal Empathy ability, although it's limited to woodland critters only, and you have to give up the ability to find secret doors in its place.

You'll start the game with 5 weapon proficiencies, 6 nonweapon proficiencies, and 2 languages. I have a list of NWPs here you can choose from.

You can start with whatever equipment you want (within reason), but nothing magical.

Your base thief skills are:

Pick Pockets: 25%
Open Locks: 5%
Find/Remove Traps: 5%
Move Silently: 25%
Hide in Shadows: 20%
Detect Noise: 20%
Climb Walls: 70%
Read Languages: 0%

You get a total of 180 skill points to distribute between these scores. No skill can be raised over 95%. Wearing armor will lower these skills.

When you are ready to turn your character sheet in, these are things your character sheet needs to include:
Character's name, race, gender, class (kit, if any), age, alignment, height and weight.
Ability scores (modified for race and age, if necessary)
Weapon and nonweapon proficiencies, as well as languages, chosen.
Spells chosen, if applicable.
Equipment and money, and where you keep all of it
Appearance, personality, motivation, and history

I'll put the rest up tomorrow, I need to get some sleep.

By grappling, do you mean wrestling? Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean there.

According to the Fighter's Handbook, sais come in two varieties--bludgeoning and piercing. Which did you want?

I see some very good opportunities of roleplaying there... it will be interesting to see how he fits into the group.

Poor Locky, as if she isn't disliked by the world enough already... lol. But a real thief is handy, Locky's attempt at thief skills are somewhat lacking!

Actually, while Xel's character will be excellent at scouting and stealth, his actual thief skills are awful. Locky is still better at picking pockets, opening locks, and finding traps. For now, anyway. I imagine another few levels will change that.

I always read that as a Sai could be used to piece someone with the point, or bludgeoning with the rounded part of the blade.

The Complete Fighter's Handbook, page 102 wrote:...the Sai is listed as having two types of damage: P (piercing) and B (bludgeoning). That's not quite right; the normal sai is only a Bludgeoning damage weapon. However, certain warriors prefer for it to be a sharp stabbing weapon, so the damage may be Piercing instead. A sai may only have one type of damage, not both.
