FYI, the reason Fraso is late was to give the PCs an opportunity to interact. And it's going great. The NPC candidates would be saying more, except this week has been insane at work. I've already got 44 hours in as of Wednesday night, and I'm looking at probably another 10 or 11 today.

I'm back enough to post in this and Brelias game.
That will be my limit for now.

To our two newcomers: as mercenaries, your PCs will need "war names" (see below). It's not required that you use them, but every merc has one.
Stik in the Campaign Background thread wrote:One aspect unique to the guild is the practice of assigning a “War Name” to every member. These names can reflect a play on the member’s real name, the member’s physical appearance, or an incident in the member’s past or present. War names can change over time as a warrior gains status or notoriety. The basic rule is that the warrior’s peers assign him a name when he joins a unit ( and if he complains about it overmuch, they assign him a worse one). Once he has earned their respect, he will usually receive a more “heroic” one. War names are usually short - two syllables, or occasionally three.
War names serve two purposes - first, they encourage comraderie among warriors, as each warrior becomes identified by the name given him by his peers, he becomes one of them; second, the names make it easy to distinguish between men and catch their attention quickly in a combat situation (there my be three men named 'Cassius' in a unit, but there will only be one 'Sparky,' one 'Slick,' and one 'Two-Shoes').
In picking war names for your PCs, try not to pick something too lofty for a low-level character. Try to imagine what the warrior's peers might call him (or her) in camp.
Oh, and for those keeping score of my absolutely crazy week at work, it came in at 64 (billable) hours. I
so need this three-day holiday weekend.

I think working hard from time to time is good. It puts all the other weeks in the right perspective. Working hard earns you respect.
I think a good war-name for low level Galanis would be 'Mule' supposedly in one of his escorting mission a cart pulled by 2 mules was stuck in the mud and he tied himself near them and together they pulled the cart out. Galanis carries this name with some pride, or at least feels no insult regarding it.

So, when the big merc said "Some here having problem with merry," and I said that his meaning was clear, I guess his meaning wasn't clear.

He was talking about the dwarf and Callah, both of whom seem less than jovial this evening.
And while I am clearing things up, it's worth noting that the party are not the ones in need of an escort. They are the
existing escort. Angel and Papa are mercs. Bastian is an adventuring priest. Durant is a recently discharged legionnaire. Liri's a legionnaire on detached duty. All of them look capable, and the new mercs are being hired to
supplement the current group, not to escort it.

Wanted to make sure everyone's on the same page.
"No sense me guarding him when he's a guard and I'm a guard."

She's right where you left her.
Are you looking for a character sheet, or was that a philosophical/metaphysical sort of statement?

He's probably thinking of my RP with Angel last time he used it... lol

You know, I could move this interview session to a conclusion at any point and move you along to your next adventure, but I'm having too much fun watching the PCs interact at this point.
