Tomorrow in-game will be February 30th, 736 BC (Barovian Calendar)
-The party has agreed to meet Akriel at the Old Kartakan Inn in Skald in 3 days (on Sunday March 2nd).

Friday and Saturday I want to do as montage elements to get us to the meeting with Akriel. [Jen, this will be similar to what we did with your intro thread]

Basically I’d like a quick list of what each pc wants to do those days and I’ll add the relevant info/results they encounter. You can search the map a bit and see if there is anything of interest. Keep in mind the language barrier, but Mira, Adrastia and Merrick can all speak well enough that any group with them won’t have too much trouble communicating.


An example would be:
Artanis plans to go fishing, and stay out of the clutter of town as much as possible. He’ll spend some time talking with Adrastia, learning a little more about the area and generally itching to get going.

Fri 30th,
Artanis goes fishing along the river. He gets a good view of the Kartakan inn, and notices a shanty town north of the river overgrown with vines and plants. Adrastia tells him she is from this land and has traveled to many others. She is the outdoorsy type, and demonstrates some skill that rivals even the ranger’s (including an impressive capacity to start a fire even with wet tinder).

For Saturday, Artanis decides he might also cross the river to the north to investigate the shanty town in the trees.

Sat March 1st.
Artanis tries to cross the lower bridge, but finds there is a toll. The toll is even higher at the center bridge. Remembering seeing the inn, he tries there, and finds that if one crosses the river from the island holding Old Kartakan inn, there is no toll at all!

What does everyone think about me potentially including a 'summary' section to give an overview of what happened during each scene? Basically it would be mainly to help recall what happened, when and why; but also just for the fun of having the broad strokes of the story overview told in prose.

I think its easy enough when i end a chapter because i re-read everything to calculate xp. I just wanted to be sure it was something people would be interested in

Apparently I completely switched names of the servers at the Broken Wheel (Allison) and the Old Kartakan (Sabrina). I’ll correct those in posts.

XP is up! I’ll add it to the sheets tonight. I have the summary for this scene about half-written, and in it I am highlighting things like dates, locations, important clues/objects/npcs etc for ease of reference.

I should be able to finish the summary and write the montage bits by Friday, hopefully making the first post for Act 2 Scene 1 “The Crown” over the weekend!

I have put the montage for Friday Feb 20th, 736 BC in the Summary thread. I’ll try to get the one for Saturday up soon.

On Friday, Cross is with the others at The Stone, where they negotiate a lower price for the scroll he wants, but he still doesn’t have enough! Is anyone willing to help him pay for it? [Pyros, Merrick and Mira are with him]

Mira can apply and try out to become a member of the Grand Hall of Song and Dance, (there is no specific restriction against being a member of two colleges) but dues will be owed to both for her performances if she does; and it will likely be frowned upon by certain members of each college.

I should have Act 2 started by the weekend.
