Mira Rhelarwen (Jenara)- Private Thread

yeah, sadly having it stunned was the best opportunity but both her allies went into melee :/

The party is on the path at the edge of the bushes. Basically Mira was a little into the bush (heh) Pyros and Gregor were by the trail and the beastie leapt onto the trail with the Kender who had begun to back away (so actually Mira is the only one even partly in the bush, though it is near for all). Yes, the path is quite narrow and the bushes to either side are sufficient for the web to latch onto. The path itself is probably only 10 ft wide. Of course she can position it as she wishes for best advantage. I have been away from my mapmaker most of the day but I will work something up tonight (US time) to help inform her decision. You can alter basically anything before the next combat post, i will edit the old post for a map and mention it in OOC when i do


Fun fact, if Gregor had possessed a weapon capable of hurting it that first round, It would probably be dead by now.

The Grand Hall of Song and Dance: Interior (Mira)

The bard steps through the high doors into the vaulted hallway. The polished columns and adornments echo the murmur and quiet chatter of dozens of locals; replacing the typical ambiance of music. Some go about tasks like tying small boquets with ribbon or gathering up candles and other items for the memorial. A few small groups seem only to be friends in quiet discussion who are observing the preparations.

One buxom woman in a blue dress, seemingly past her middle years, seems to be directing several others. She appears to be the only one issuing instructions

====At the Memorial===
When Mira steps inside she quickly finds Mrs Tsamin, who is able to spare a moment to hear the song she plans to play. She gives the bard a copy of what order the speakers and singers are going and leads her to the balcony area. She sees a few people lined up prepared for their contributions, including Airand and Azais, and a dark haired man in a brocade violet coat and vest with the air of authority about him.

Basically you can work in Mira's performance whenever you have time. Just describe her stepping out onto the balcony over the crowd and go fro, there whe you're ready.

If you want to have a short interaction with Mrs Tsamin, Azi and Airand, or the Meistersinger we can do that here concurrently

MIra takes a deep breath, attempting to calm her nerves as she stands motionless, before she steps forward.

"Mrs Tsamin." She pauses, and curtsy's, a little stunned as she realised that this had to be the Meistersinger. "My Lord. I hope my Humble contribution will be acceptable." Giving both Azi and Airand a small smile she waits.

Mrs Tsamin smiles. Ah, just in time. May I present Mrs Mira, La Gitane Rouge as she is sometimes know. And this is Meistersinger Arnaus Marceau. She gestures to the broad shouldered man in violet. He offers his and and bows, A great pleasure, my lady.

[Jenara]

"The pleasure is mine. Truly." Attempting to keep her cool she holds herself together somehow, "While I wish the Circumstances where better.." She sighs, "Mrs Tsamin, You wished to hear my Song?"

Azi and Airand return the wave but seem to want not to interrupt at the moment.

Mrs Tsamin nods, Yes, quickly please. let's use this side room. She opens a door to a practice room nearby to invite Mira to demonstrate in there. The meistersinger moves into the doorway as well, watching expectantly.

[Jenara]

"Of course." And with little fanfare she takes up her lute and begins to play, some of the words are different to how she had written them, the emotion pouring from her body as she lets herself feel.

(I won't post the song here again)

She ends, and closes her eyes, fighting back the tears she truly felt.

[Ooc] Let's get a performance check and give it a chance to impress the Meistersinger. The song in the main thread (which was a very nice pass btw) will count as an official Bardic performance as well since it's so public and significant to the community [/ooc]

The melody fills the room, and by the time she is done, Azi and Airand are peering through the doorway as well. Azais runs in when Mira finishes, and hugs the bard with a muffled Thank you. Airand scrubs at one eye, and even the Meistersinger nods approvingly.

Mira doesn't speak, She just holds Azais close while giving Airand a slight nod of her head. She would not break now, later.. when she found Sabrina.

Mrs Tsamin nods to Mira, Very touching, dear. I think it will be well received. She then lays a hand on the Meistersinger's shoulder, We should begin. I will bring you out shortly. Mrs Tsamin moves down the hall towards the balcony double doors and exits.

Azais slowly releases her friend. She would never want us to blame ourselves... but how can we not? Her eyes, rimmed with tears shimmer. Squeezing them shut they form glittering beads that follow the traces already along her cheeks. Airand moves to lay a supporting hand on her shoulder. I will go with you and your friends back to the inn tonight, so we can deal with this... vermin. Azi will go back with her family tonight. As he speaks, the dark haired girl buries her face in Mira's collar, her shoulders wracked with sobs

"She would want you to carry on. To live your life." Mira answers in soft voice, that's what she imagined anyway. "These things take time, planning, organisation. We want to be ready." And right now, she wasn't ready. She had no spells, no magic, her weapon would be less than useless.

Azi nods, hugging her friend once more before she and Airand move to their positions. One by one they step into the night to honor their friend...


[After Mira's song and Azi's speech]
Mira returns from the balcony into the upstairs hallway. Azi and Airand are speaking to a middle aged man with dark hair and the touch of grey at his temples. His face bears a familial resemblance to Azais', and shortly she departs with him. Airand awaits the bard at the end of the hall.

Nearby the Meistersinger stares into space, stroking his beard and seemingly deep in thought. He looks up as the door closes behind Mira. Ah, Ms Mira. Your music was truly inspired tonight. I had found the short demonstration earlier quite skillful, but it paled in comparison to your full tribute.
