Hazel (Jenara) Private thread.

[Korgen]

The captain nods lightly and stops looking around. He gives Hazel a serious look. " Why do you want to know about the bandits? Nothing good comes of a lone girl getting curious."

[Jenara]

"Curiosity?" She offers, when she realises that isn't going to work, she adds, "No one likes Bandits, myself included, they steal from others without producing a thing."

"As for me, I can look after myself." She states firmly, looking quite determined, her hands resting on the chair arms.

[Korgen]

The captain sighs heavily. " I'll be blunt. They kill men, rape women and turn our children into corrupted criminals. Any other questions?"

[Jenara]

"Do you know how many there are? What weapons they have? Where one might find them?" She responds with the same serious tone, the suggestion of Rape not affecting her outwardly, inside she was reeling. "So they take others?" She asks, her hand clenched tightly in a fist.

[Korgen]

The captain remains silent for a moment before speaking. " Swords and bows. They take women and children only. I've never seen them take an adult male, We have no idea how much there is. We know there is less then there used to be. We've never been able to track them down. They move during sandstorms. Last night, we were lucky not to get hit."

[Jenara]

"That sound about right..." Hazel ponders a moment, "They take the weak, those unable to defend themselves..." Giving him a curious look she taps her hands on her nose, "Then you were lucky, I assume you tried looking for them?" Should she tell him what her interest was? No, she didn't know him.

[Korgen]

" Yes. My father decided we shouldn't go searching for them, at risk of losing our own men. Aganist his words, some of us went looking. None of those men ever returned. Atleast, not alive. We found one of the men's heads impaled and placed in the center of town after a large sandstorm hit." the captain gets up, finding a wine bottle in a near by cupboard. He pours himself a class and returns to his seat. " After that, we were to afraid to go out there. Instead, we strengthed our defenses."

[Jenara]

"I guess that's why you were worried about me." She actually laughs a moment, "My look isn't exactly family friendly." Giving him a look she shrugs, "And now you are holed up here."

[Korgen]

The captian nods as he takes a sip of his wine. " That's one way to put it. Now, what will you do with this information?"

[Jenara]

"Honestly, your town is of little concern to me, above that for somewhere to stay." Giving him a knowing look she adds. "Nothing personal of course, you saw the looks I got."

"What will I do with it? Find them, and make them pay." Answering with bravery fueled on anger she places her hand on her hilt and gives him a look of interest. "My reasons are my own, I have a score to settle, and these may be the ones I am looking for."

[Korgen]

The captain stares at Hazel for a brief moment, in slight disbelief. " I get the feeling that your own reasons must be strong to go to such lengths.." Gelpas takes another sip of his wine, pondering in silence for a moment. " They seem to come most often from the north east of town. "

[Jenara]

"Yes they are." She answers "Have you ever considered asking travelers like myself to hunt them down?"

"Understand me, we are all here to survive, animals like that help no one."

[Korgen]

"Not many like to travel now adays. Even fewer make it here without being noticed by the bandits. We haven't had many to ask of such a thing. Certainly none since I've been placed in charge. If you can find them, mark their location down and give it to me. From there I can make an aggresssive offense. I don't want a simple traveller getting involved any more then that."

[Jenara]

"I believe I can do that." She goes to rise and pauses, "My funds are limited, as I would be doing your town a service...." She strokes one hand with the other. "Would it be possible to handle my tavern bill, and provide me with some provisions for the journey?"

[Korgen]

The captain chugs the rest of his wine before speaking. " What exactly do you need for the journey?"
