CH 4: Solanthus

Targin draws his axe and charges the male ogre. "I hope you were kidding."

(OOC dwarves and ogres don't quite see eye to eye, I think I get +4 to AC on giant sized opponents, correct?)

Karathos is going to charge the male ogre, because he is nearest, hoping to ram him in a way that makes him stumble into his partner.

As for Jinali, I hope Luna will post tonight, she comes home near noon your time.

Erastin too fights the male. "Hey I can make jokes you know!" he grins.

Jinali casts a shield, moving towards the female ogre for the rest of the round when the spell is cast, ready to attack her the next round

The gnomes continue their retreat, leaving the dead one, but grabbing the unconscious one in the process. They quickly abscond the battlefield without a second look.

Jinali casts a spell of protection over herself and then steps forward boldly to meet the female ogre. The ogress looks down at the half-elf mage with an expression of amusement. Standing over nine feet tall, the intimidating creature walks right up to the mage, the ground trembling slightly at each step. "You go squish now!" she bellows. Raising a fist, she slams it down, fully expecting the unarmored woman to go splat. Instead, the ogress' fist is deflected from the invisible shield. The ogress looks at her fist in surprise, not sure what went wrong there.

Erastin, still blinded from the flash grenade that was thrown last round, can barely see anything. He unwittingly salutes a tree and then moves to attack. He slashes through nothing but air, not even facing the ogre he was targeting.

Karathos gets close and tries to headbutt, however the ogre sidesteps. The ogre grins, impressed to find an opponent almost as big as he is. Almost. He swings at the minotaur, but Karathos manages to duck at the last second, avoiding the giant, meaty fist.

"Jinali!" Selowen cries out. Acting quickly, she began casting herself. But if she centered her spell on the the female, Jinali might get caught in it, too. Having an idea, she decides to center the spell not on the ogress, but rather, nearly thirty feet above her in the air. This would ensure the area of effect reaches the ogress' head, but nobody else. "Ast tasarak sinuralan krynawi!" she chants, tossing up a handful of rose petals.

Surprisingly, the female ogre topples, then falls backwards with a thud, sound asleep. Selowen looks shocked. "I...I can't believe that worked."

Targin draws his axe and charges, running at full speed. He manages to slice the ogre in the leg, the first to draw blood. The ogre roars in pain, and looks down in surprise that the smallest of the group was somehow able to hurt him.

But the ogre's real attention was on his mate, who had just fallen over. Was she dead? He didn't understand how that could be, but the thought enraged him. Screaming even louder than before, he seems to completely lose it, giving in to his rage completely. Erastin's vision returns to him just in time to witness this.

Losing no time, Karathos slashes at the ogre with bonebiter and heartcleaver.

INIT 16, Bohebiter misses, hartcleaver hits AC 1 for 17 damage

"By the Gods!" Erastin shouts, seeing the Ogre scream and able to see he levels his blade once more, his side was agony, he could barely keep his sword level. He swings at the male Ogre as hard as he can.

With that he hops to draw the attention, coupled with his axe that is.

Jinali is surprised that the ogre in front of her falls before she can even start to hit her. "What was that?" she starts, but then she hears the snooze...

Because her primal target has fallen asleep, she runs to the male orgre and attacks him with her staff at the knee throat.
