(Ooc: So, I am going to write a narrative based on where we are, outlining the actions I know, will be posted in a few hours. Please can you reply with what your PC does for the rest of the evening, and what equipment if any you want to get.... Unless you all want to RP the whole evening till Bedtime?

The Choice is yours.

Bear in mind I am away from tomorrow afternoon till Sunday, I would like to get us to be ready to move to the House, if that is your chosen direction.)

Once it appears Jackel has said all he wants to say, and he realises the no one is going to give him the 20 gp he has been asking for he sinks back into his corner.

Gunter excuses himself shortly afterwards, leaving the Inn in the darkness he notes that the street is illuminated by small lanterns, which are regularly restocked with oil by local with a long pole. The lanterns follow the road they used to enter Saltmarsh and extend into the distance for someway, behind him, over the bridge they appear to reach the small harbour.

Deciding to stick with the path the Ranger finds a small tree lined park, well planted flower beds and a small stone bench sit to the back, deciding this looks like a good place as any he sits quietly and sets to work cleaning his gear.

Yawning, Kim excuses herself, and heads to her room. Vee (who is sharing a room with Brax) does so shortly after, Brax gives her the key with a smile, she finds the room to be functional, but the big soft bed is quite different to the coarse hair mattresses she is used to at home.

Brax, Amon and Echo stay up for some time discussing the Village, how they came to be there, the two Mages can tell the Cleric is somewhat cagey about why she is there, choosing instead to shift the subject to the pair of them. Amon listens intently, while Echo maintains the same air of disinterest, after a few hours and a few drinks the two mages depart, Amon promising to be there in the morning for breakfast.

The two mages then head off, doing whatever it is the want to do…

Brax slips up to her room, watching Vee sleep curled in a ball on the bed, she removes her dress, takes her bed roll from her pack and lies quietly on the floor.

Searos on the other hand stays up gone midnight, noting a group of Fishermen playing a card game that reminds him clearly of “Dragons” a game he played often back home. He watches them for sometime before inviting himself to the game.

Pulling a favourite trick he pretends to have no skill, sucking them in with some poor hands he raises the stakes. Managing to hide a gold dragon card under in his sleeve he pulls off an amazing hand netting the amazing haul of 2 gold and one battered old silver. “Beginners luck” he laughs.

Attempting to raise the stakes even higher he manages to pull of a full suite of dragons, laying the Red, Green, Gold and Silver dragons on the table he gives a wide smile, the sailors reluctantly hand over the sum of 10 gold.

Getting cocky he offers to shuffle the cards, his hands moving deftly he tries to take the Silver Dragon, only to slip dropping the card. One of the Sailors a big brute covered in tattoos looks at Searos in anger, his actions obvious, and as Gunther and the rest of the group are no where to be seen, he excuses himself and heads to his room with his ill gotten gains.

Morning comes sooner than hoped, Brax wakes early, checking on Vee she grabs a wash, dresses in her armor, Tabard and straps her mace to her belt before waking the Girl up with a smile, she waits for her to prepare and they go down to the common room for breakfast…

(OOC: I shall let you all take it from here, I will post as Brax and the NPC's over the weekend, ready to go to the house on Sunday, and you guys are amazing, you realise this game thread had 58 posts in 24hrs, that must be a record, now... to Pod Caverns Jen!).

Gunter rises with the sun and goes outside to bathe in the river, the cold water making him feel alive and banishing the fuzz in his brain still remaining from yesterday. Drying off and trotting back to his room he mutters to him self, "One thing about being an adventurer...you drink alot..."

He quickly dresses and neatly packs his things, somewhat unsure of what exactly was going to happen to him today but knowing either way it would be better than going back home right now. Anyway, this adventuring gig hadn't been bad so far, even if he had to put up with that strange little thief...

He heads downstairs and seeing Brax and Vee, flops down next to them, nodding towards to bar for more food and drink.

"Good morning ladies! If you haven't bathed yet I highly suggest the river." He looks at the little girl, "so...is she coming along?"

Searos can be found in his room (ooc: not sure if I'm sharing a room with anybody) lying diagnally across the bed with his head hanging off the side of the bed snoring loudly. He's also clutching a new pouch of currency in his hands and mutters to himself from time to time about various card combinations. He sits up suddenly looking around with a paranoid look on his face before he falls blissfully back into unconciousness.

Amon arrives the next morning after a good night's rest and bath. He brings with him his traveling gear, and his war hound with him, its tongue hanging out of its mouth and tail wagging, happy to be getting outside for a change. "Good morning all," he says, taking a seat and ordering some breakfast.

After the luxurious bath yesterday, Kim only needs a quick wash-up this morning. Coming down to the common room, Kim sees the others at their table, comes closer but stays some distance away from the big dog.

"Is that your hound, Amon?" Kim asks. "What's its name?"

Coming closer and squatting down, a hand is extended for the dog to sniff and get to know Kim.

"What is it trained for? Hunting?"

"This is Dogmeat," Amon says. After a pause, he explains, "Err, my brother named him. I guess he thought it was funny."

The dog sniffs at Kim's hand curiously, then begins licking it happily.

"He's a war hound, actually. My brother used to take him with him whenever he was on the road, for protection. When he married and settled down, the dog passed on to me," Amon adds. "I figured he'd be useful if we run into anything dangerous."

[Breila]

"A war hound. Interesting." Kim begins to return Dogmeat's affections by fondling him, obviously no stranger to dogs. "He must have learned to match his attitude towards others on yours, then, to be of any use."

With a few pats, Kim lets go of the dog, then sits down at the table with the others, ordering some bread, cheese, and tea for breakfast.

Vee looks at Gunter defiantly: "Yes, I am coming along."

After finishing her breakfast she stands up and goes to Amon and the dog. She stretches out a hand to him, and, if he hadn't bit her, she sit down in front of Dogmeat to stroke and fondle him. "Oh he is a so nice Dog! I'm sure he can be useful!"

(occ: If you woke me up Brax, I have slept on the floor too! sorry for stealing your bed)

Brax just smiles eating the nuts and berries she has in front of her.

"You Looked tired my dear, i have slept in underground caverns, naked. Covered in spiders, sleeping on the floor is no hardship." she says it so matter of factly she could be talking about the weather.

(Ooc suggest you all make a plan. Tel will serve you drinks etc, bill will be sorted fine.Nothing more from me till Sunday.)

Echo steps into the inn, yawning lightly as she looks around. She was the last one there apparently, but she was blaming that on the fact that she had to convince herself to show up this morning. She also blamed it on the fact she had to gather all her stuff including her staff, sling, dagger, backpack and spellbook.

"Oh, how is dogmeat today,"Echo says as she approaches the warhound. Reaching out her hand, she ruffles the dog's ears playfully. From the looks of it, Echo seems to be nicer to animals than she is to people.

Echo looks to the others gathered as she pets the dog. "Everyone is still around I see," she says sounding a little disappointed.

"No, Miss Soulstaff, we're still one person short. But you might not know he was part of our group. He was sitting at the same table as Gunter here, and he tried to get the information from Jakel.

Kim now turns to the group at large. "If you think it is time to wake Searos, may I do it? I have a plan. Hopefully, he was too drunk last night to lock his door."
There's an unmistakable glint of mischief in Kim's eyes.

Dogmeat is loving all of the attention he is getting today, from Kim, Vee, and Echo.

Amon, meanwhile, orders some fried eggs and orange juice. "Why would he get drunk if he knew we were setting out the next day?" he asks.

Kim snorts: "I do not believe that Searos needs a reason to get drunk, and that there are few things he would consider a reason not to get drunk"

Brax smiles at Kim, "If you want to wake our light fingered friend, go right ahead, he needs a wake up call." She glances at the Dog, unsure, animals still seemed strange to her, this from a girl who once had a pet spider...

"Your pet is interesting, his name... unique, humans desire to have animals as pets seems.. strange to me." Giving a look of curiosity she watches the group, her path was clear, Vee seemed to enjoy the chance to do something...

"So, are we going to take a look at the House?" She asks, biting on a large nut, "And are you proposing to accompany us?" She asks Amon and Echo, "You do not seem.. well, you do not seem to enjoy our company my dear." She holds no punches, instead she looks straight at her, almost accusingly, "What reason would you have to join us, may I ask?"
