The family watches in wonder as Ontash slowly removes his bindings and splints. Testing the leg, he seems amazed at first. Looking up to Elsa, his expression turns to one of apprehension. I.. I thank you miss. I had only heard stories that such things were possible... he says in Elven. Swallowing hard, he continues. What... umm.. what do you ask in return? For the chance to protect my family again... Maria hustles into the room and hugs her husband almost defensively, as if not intendimg to let him come to any harm. Elsa smiles at the pair. I don't want anything in return. But I couldn't very well leave you with a broken leg with something out there trying to hurt your family.

Pyros rattles on, snapping the others out of it. The young girl, who appears to be around 7 and stands almost a foot taller than he, smiles. She gathers a cup and pours him some tea. It appearss only coincidence, as she doesn't seem to understand what he is saying.

"Want?" Mira asks, "We don't want anything, I know it's hard to believe but there are kind people out there. This thing attacks at night? Allow us to stay, keep watch, perhaps some home cooked food?" She asks with a warm smile. "Is that acceptable?"

"That is Pyros, he is a Kender. And he likes Biscuits." Mira adds motioning to the Kender, "He doesnt speak Harmonian, sadly."

"Nice job," comments Jerry.

"Oh thank you!" he tries in Harmonian, he has heard in the inn multipe times. Bowing to the girl.

Without caring if they understood he will slurp the hot tea very loudly, since he won't have thought it was hot.

He will then enter the living room again and announce(In elven):

"This tea is GREAT, but HOT!" oblivious to the tension in the room.

Pyros tries a phrase he has heard at the inn many times in the last two days [+25%] but apparently swaps it for another very common phrase. Elsa gives Jerry a small smile at the affirmation.

So... you will help us? He asks, then barks a laugh as Pyros makes his proclamation about the tea. He turns and whispers something to Maria and she hugs him tightly, tears in her eyes. She then hugs Elsa and murmurs a quiet Thank you in Harmonian. She repeats the phrase as she moves to hug the bard as well, still tearing up. The woman then hustled into the kitchen, patting Pyros' head and gathering her children up. Mira can hear her giving them instructions on things to tidy up or gather for their guests.

Maria will make you some nice biscuits. Ontash says to the Kender. It might be a little snug, but we'll find a place for everyone. And Maria is a splendid cook, he says in Elven with a smile. I cannot tell you how much it means to me that you agreed to help us... I truly don't know what else we could have done... aside from leave and hope it doesn't follow. I... I only wish help had come a couple of days sooner... so Joshua... He steadies himself emotionally with a visible effort. Thank you. Please, make yourselves at home.

I wonder if Artanis and the others mind that Mira has committed them to help

cross once hears the plan " i think ill meditate in preparation for tonight let me know if something else happens" he will go out side and sit in a sunny place legs crossed

Returning the hug she pats her back gently. "I will do all I can.." Perhaps she had imposed her own penance? To take up the mantle that he may have left behind... But she needed Artanis..

"Pyros, while you biscuits are baking, would you go and tell Artanis I need to talk to him?" She asks gently, "I have offered to help stop the creatures that are doing this.. No one has to stay, but I plan to. Alone if I must." She explains to the rest of the group in common before entering the kItchen.

"Do any of your neighbours have the same issue? I assume that you have them because it would not be wise to be here alone, could we ask them for support to end this threat?" She asks sitting down once more. "Loosing one you care for is always hard, loosing a child.." she shudders. "I could not imagine a worse fate."

Pyros will nod.

"Make sure they make them nice and brown!"

He will bolt out the door and look around for Artanis.

(Assuming Merrick translates), Jerry looks at him questioningly and says to him very quietly, "These people need our help."

Unless he indicates otherwise, she says in a louder voice, "Mira, we're with you; we will help. Can you ask how far it is to their next neighbours and do they have similar troubles?"

Artanis' "I'm about to be volunteered for something" sense goes into alarm, and thus heeding the warning, he continues looking about - going just east of the barn, following the animal pen to the stream. Perhaps this will be a good place to fish.
