Bard talent to counter musical magic would be an ability init 3. She could stop it, if she doesn't succumb to it herself (since her action to counter would come after the enemy)

The trick is, she can't see the performer yet, so targeting spells (like magic missile) would require her to move closer (and farther into the brush) in the hopes that she would have line-of sight to the target.

Of course area things like web don't need targets, but are much slower.
