"I believe that would be a good idea." Wishing he had the power to sense evil, kneeling by the offending article he tests the handholds.

Pytor moves up to stand by the pedestal with the knight, watching him suspiciously. The construction of the short column makes it quite easy to grip up near the top where the flared end is more decorative. Between the two of them they're able to tilt it slightly and roll it along the circular base out of the way. the object is quite heavy and any two members of the party aside from they would likely have been unable to move it together.

Beneath the pedestals previous position the group perceives a passage about 3 ft wide and tunneling down into the Earth at an angle...

"See! I told you," says Jerry, delighted, nudging Merrick gently in the ribs.

Pyros stares in amazement!

"THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!"

He walks to the edge.

"Excuse me my burly fellows.

He then starts to expertly search for traps.

Cross raises his eyebrows in surprise at the Kender's new head wear, then lets out a low whistle as the passage is revealed.

Faintly the others listen for any sign of the intrepid Kender. Just barely Elsa makes something out... I think he's saying... that he fell? or slid and can't get back up... she tells the others

"We can try 'fishing-for-Pyros', can't we? Rope with a weight on the end? Maybe a decent sized stone in a sack, tied off? How much rope do we have?" asks Jerry, articulating as the possibilities flow through her agile and lately mostly unused mind. "Can he estimate how far he's fallen? And was he hurt in the fall?"

Pytor chuckles, Fishing for a rogue... If he's not big enough we'll just have to throw him back. He ties one end of his rope around the haft of the damaged silver-faced hammet and the other around the very heavy stone podium. Sliding it down they hear the metal clatter and scrape against the stone as he shakes and wiggles the rope so it slips down farther. After a modest racket, Pyros can see the hammer tied rope within reach

"What can I do?" Mira asks she hated this standing around and waiting.

Pyros remembering his fishing trip, will grab the rope, then let go a few times as if a fish nibbling on a line.

After 3 such goes he will hold firm.

Pytor laughs aloud and hauls the kender up. Scrutinizing the small humanoid he slides the weighted rope back down. This one seems a little small, we might as well use him as bait! he winks at Pyros. After securing the line from this end and making sure the weighted rope slides down the passage fully, he asks: . So, friend, what did you discover down there? Treasure? Fair maidens in distress and need of rescue? Terrible, monstrous, skeletal dragons? or additional passages to explore, perhaps?

"Then we should go down there. Pyros and a fighter first. Explore a little and them we all go.. I'll go last." Mira suggests. "Karl or Pytor should really go with Pyros.'

Pyros will grab the rope, and slide down, as best he can with one leg.

Pyros slips down the rope easily. Pytor gives the bard a wink and follows easily after; the anchored rope making it a simple matter.

To the right about 25 feet away the passage looks like it opens to a misty cavern. To the left the tunnel continues another 40 ft before turning out of sight...
