Re: OOC Chat
I'm just sort of playing things by ear. The inn, the dancer, the brothel, the kender...basically making stuff up as I go along. I'm glad everyone's enjoying it, even if it is disturbing.
Oh, I went ahead and moved Babushka's daggers to her boots, too.

Re: OOC Chat
We're getting at the big issues now... what can a small group of people do when faced with injustice? Especially when it is seen as normal in the society they are visiting?
It goes much deeper than a typical module would.

Re: OOC Chat
Jaded loves to do the whole moral ambiguity thing.
Re: OOC Chat
In real life, there is very little black and white.

Re: OOC Chat
Good chance des some honest RP with me and Jerrard these characters are rather close to who we are, so some of the reactions you get are real.
As Rike said, Jerrard is a Knight in white robes.
He'll save the dancer and see about the Kender, if Locky were to share the cost of 'buying' them they could afford it, but what could you do with them? They would need lifetime support, a temple would be best.

Re: OOC Chat
Alright, so...anything anyone wants to do before we skip ahead to this evening?
Re: OOC Chat
See no reason why we can't.

Re: OOC Chat
Skipping is fine, babs and Locky will be having a pillow fight!

Re: OOC Chat
And that's the end of that chapter.
As I said before, everything that's happened in this most recent chapter has been played by ear. I was just making things up as we went along. Consequently, I am rather curious as to what you all think about this chapter, compared to the more structured modules I've run so far.
The whole thing with Imani's son turned out to be a very sticky wicket. The problem is, rescuing her son is really the only motivation Imani has to continue adventuring.
I asked Horizon what would happen if Imani got her son back. She responded she would find someone she could trust to leave him with. I pointed out that wouldn't make Imani a very good mother. What happens to her son if she dies on an adventure? The only logical thing to do would be to retire and raise the kid. This is why, ultimately, Horizon decided not to rescue the kid right away.
Anyway, for those of you tired of Khur, this upcoming chapter should be the last one spent there. I'll go get started on it now.

Re: OOC Chat
I found that chapter to be very interesting and colorful, and not the least boring, even though Babushka had very little to do towards the end. I will certainly not complain if you play more "by ear", and am looking forward to your homebrew game.

Re: OOC Chat
I tried to find something for everyone to do, for those who sat around doing nothing (like introducing Malika when Jerrard was just sitting in his room). Babushka seemed content to just babysit Locky, though, which is why I may have neglected her a bit.
