Act 1, Scene 3: "Out of Harmony" (Game Thread)

Artanis leans over to Pyros and whispers: "Should I tell him that Harmonia is a boil on the backside of the universe? Probably not."

Artanis then addresses the new fellow. "Aye, the Lady in Red...er...I mean the Red Lady is correct. Long way. I'm Artanis, and am from Neverwinter, a bit further north than Waterdeep. We are on our way to a town north of here. You are welcome to join us...or not. Your choice. But we have a time table to keep to arrive there before dark, and we are...off schedule."

And with that, the ranger starts walking towards Skald again.

[Nocturno]

"Let's get going then!" with a bounce Pyros will keep pace with Artanis, or at least try to.

[Jenara]

"Artanis speaks truthfully, let us keep walking." With that she steps away and waits for them all to start walking.

[Chris1234]

"Shall we?" Jerry asks Merrick, putting away her spell components.
She takes a few steps towards Mira to encourage the group to be on the move.

The group continues northward, with the new traveler in-tow.

As they are traveling along the road, Artanis and Pyrps suddenly notice a faint sound drifting through the air. Listening more closely, the others detect it and decide that it is someone sobbing. The source of the sound is hidden by a bank of shrubs that runs along the side of the road at this point.

Artanis sighs. So much for the schedule. He considers telling Mira and Elsa to check out for a distraught individual, then he thinks better of it, and the ranger whispers to Pyros: "Stealth approach. Move as silently as you can to the right and I'll take the left. We'll see if this is a trap or not." He points where he wants Pyros to go, then drawing his weapons, he quietly moves to the left of the shrub to see what he can see.

[Jenara]

"Whats wrong?" Mira asks her hand on her sword hilt watching the pair head off. "Keep alert." She warns

[Nocturno]

Pyros nods, but wonders why they are sneaking up on someone who is crying... are they going to scare them happy?

The Ranger and the Rogue cautiously creep by the bushes near the noise. A middle-aged woman is kneeling on the ground in a recently cleared area surrounded on three sides by the greenery. She is squeezing freshly disturbed black soil from what appears to be a grave in her hands and smearing it upon her once blue and white apron. The scent of wet earth is sweet in the air. She is crying to herself and does not seem to notice the two as they approaches.

"Oh.. forget this!" Mira starts to move to the rock, moving with purpose she comes up behind the pair, "Let's talk to her." She announces with certainty.

[Nocturno]

In Elven: "Hello! Why are you doing that?"

With everyone focusing on the sobbing person ahead, Jerry looks round in case there are others unseen.
(Essentially trying to cover the party's rear.)

Artanis will stand guard on this side of the bushes while Mira and Pyros talk to her. He does walk a discreet distance, 10' away from them so not to panic the woman.

[Jenara]

"Greetings. May we aid you?" Mira adds in Harmonian as she walks to the front of the woman, concern on her face as she approaches.
