[OOC] @Tristen: House rule for critical hits is roll another "to hit" roll and if successful, roll additional damage. If that second roll happens to also be a 20, rinse, repeat.
In this case, though, we can forego that second roll. [/OOC]
Galanis' blade fails to connect with the flailing zomble, but Ari times his shot perfectly and crushes the creature's skull. After a quick shudder, it goes limp and then is still.
The door that the zombie was clawing at is closed. The baby's cries are coming from behind that door.

Ari cleans his hammer and mutters a quiet prayer for the poor soul who had been reduced to sucj monstrosity. He then investigates beyond the door. [He'll open it, break it of locked, etc.]

Galanis stares at his swords for a moment wondering why he failed so many swings, checks their balance, shrugs, and then follows Ari.

The door is bolted, but yields to the force of Galanis and Ari's combined efforts. After the bolt on the door breaks, the door moves perhaps two or three inches before stopping short against an obstruction. More pushing eventually moves the obstruction - a large piece of furniture that had been toppled against the door to serve as a barricade.
Angel arrives, axe in hand, just as Galanis squeezes through the half-open door and into the room.
The room is furnished with two beds and a crib, and some other simple furniture. On the floor between the beds, lying on a blanket, is a crying baby, and next to the baby is a young woman lying mostly face-down, her rough dress stained with blood on one side and down to the hem. At first glance she appears dead, but a closer inspection reveals that she is breathing.

"You killed it, good." Angel comments as she steps over the body with distain. "What? A baby..." Her words are hushed as she steps inside the room, letting Ari and Galanis take the lead, "Liri, we might need you up here." She calls down standing in the doorway.

The woman is unconscious, and her breathing is shallow. Her skin is pale and cold.
Her tunic, where it is stained with blood, has been torn wide open, and Ari can lift the fabric, stiff with blood, away to see the wound, just above her hip: a puncture wound which goes through and through. Both the entry and exit wound are both stuffed with a cloth to staunch the bleeding.

"Can you help her?" Angel asks awkwardly reaching down to reach the Baby, does she see anything strange about it?

[OOC] By the book, the Healing NWP is only effective when used within one round after the injury is received. (Although that seems a bit harsh. I think three rounds would be more appropriate. And based on the bandaging, her initial injury has already been treated (possibly by someone with that proficiency).
The Healing NWP can also be used long-term, to enable an injured person to recover hit points more quickly.
Ari hasn't used any spells today, so he should still have his full complement.[/OOC]
The baby seems to be typical, as far as Angel can tell, based on her somewhat limited experience. It is dressed in white cotton of much better quality than the clothing the woman wears, although from the look of things it is in need of a changing. There is a bloody bandage tied around the baby's left calf.
The blanket beneath the woman is wet, as is the front of her tunic.

[I was thinking just to get a sense of what condition she is in. Like 'will she eventually recover' or not. The rest was just to keep her from bleeding out.]
Ari takes out his holy symbol and prays over the woman [Cure Light Wounds]

Seeing the woman, he assumes is the mother, pretty much out of it, Galanis gently picks the baby with his muscular hands, smiles sheepishly at it and looks for new cloth to change it. "Hush baby, we will fix you soon... And your mother..." he glances back. "Who is stinky?!? Who is stinky?!?"

Her elven ears just making out the sound of Angel's call, Liri leads the horses inside the courtyard. If there is a place where they can drink, she'll leave them there. "Preasul, you watch" she tells the stallion before entering the house. "What do you need me for?" she calls up the stairs before climbing them.

Angel stands in the room a little shellshocked, "Mother and Baby." She speaks after a few moments. "I'm not sure, what how.." with that she leaves to explore the rest of the Villa.

Galanis cleans the baby and then asks Ari, "How is she?" and he leans close as he speaks. If the mother is conscious he will tell her her baby is safe and if she has the strength to hold him he will give it to her.
