Galanis searches for the source of the baby cry.

The zombie lurches under Ari's foot as he lines up his swing. His weapon strikes home, bouncing the zombie's face against the stone floor. It raises its head, leaving several teeth behind, and reaches out for the dwarf's leg, but its bony fingers fail to find a secure a grip.

[OOC]Bish - from your post it sounds like you assumed Ari had killed the zombie with one blow. Now that you know he hasn't done so, would you like to change your action?[/OOC]

Ari takes another swing at the gap-toothed abomination (provided the others don't finish it off first).

====
Ari vs Crawler [1d20] = 4, [1d4+2] = 1+2 = 3

Lol. Damn.

Angel climbs the stairs slowly, unable to reach the creature while the others are next to it she desends once more, sheaving her bow and collecting the huge axe.

Just before turning to search for the baby cry, Galanis sees the Zombie tries to attack Ari. Scimitar in his right hand and long knife in the other, he quickly attacks with both weapons.

=====================================================
(OOC: Yeah, I indeed assumed he will... If Galanis can still see he didn't, he will help Ari.
I'm sorry but I don't remember anything about Galanis. I have his Character sheet but it has no NWP. So I'm not sure if in previous battles he used two weapons for fighting with penalty or not... In any case as far as I remember any fighter can have one long and one short weapons for dual handed fight. right?

So I rolled according to that and of course, feel free to override it. In any case I think I missed even without the penalty :)

[1d20+3] = 5+3 = 8 (AC11) Scimitar AR [1d20+2] = 2+2 = 4 (AC15) Knife AR [1d8+7] = 6+7 = 13 Scimitar DR [1d6+5] = 1+5 = 6 Knife DR

)

[OOC] The attack roll adjustment for two weapon fighting is a -2 for the primary hand and -4 for the secondary hand. The bonus for a high Dex can reduce the penalty, but Galanis only has a 14 Dex, so there is no bonus.
Galanis has a high Str, and is specialized in scimitar, so it's:
+2 for Str, +1 for Spec., -2 for attacking with 2 weapons = +1 for his primary hand
and +2 for Str, -4 for attacking with 2 weapons = -2 for off hand.
Both attacks missed this round anyway. [/OOC]

The prone zombie wriggles under Ari's boot, throwing him off balance and causing him to adjust his position, which forces Galanis' swing to go wide of the mark. The thing is trying to get to both of them, but its efforts are unsuccessful.

[OOC] New round. No need for initiative versus the zombie, but maybe roll anyway (and add speed factors for weapons) to see which of you gets to attack first.
Jenn, did Angel leave the axe with the horses? If so, this fight will likely be over before she can retrieve it. [/OOC]

Time tae lay ye ta rest, lad. Ari says, swinging his maul down hard on the crawler with both hands.

====
Ari vs Crawler init, hit, dmg [1d10+9] = 3+9 = 12, [1d20] = 20, [1d4+2] = 4+2 = 6

Crit and max dmg :D

Galanis also strikes the zombie.

=============================================
(OOC: Wow, I didn't roll for so long I forgot you need to roll for init..

[1d10+5] = 7+5 = 12 Init

[1d20+1] = 8+1 = 9 Scimitar AR [1d20-2] = 6-2 = 4 Knife AR [1d8+7] = 1+7 = 8 Scimitar DR [1d6+5] = 2+5 = 7 Knife DR

Well... Galanis keeps the tradition of missing. Luckily Ari is less traditional.)
