As the others discuss, Pyros continues.

To the right, the passage splits again into two more: a natural looking passage with waist deep mist and A long, obviously worked straight room or hall some 15 feet wide

Pyros looks at the mist, and wonders if it is as bad as the last mist.

He will slowly walk to the threshold of the worked hallway, checking a long the way.

He will quietly scan the room from the doorway.

Adrestia follows with the light. Just at the edge of the light Pyros can see black steps rising up like some kind of dais. Something glitters above it, just beyond the reach of the lantern.

Jerry finds noo religious significance in the pile

His eyes open wide!

Starting to take a step.

"Woah boy. Remember what happened last time." Pyros continues to check the floor for any kind of triggers or traps.

With the bone cache beyond her compentancy Jerry moves on to follow the inspirational Pyros!

Pyros continues, inspecting the ground beneath as he approaches. The stone floor is layered in dust beneath a thin layer of translucent mist. The dust seems not to have been disturbed in quite some time. As he draws closer to the end, he is able to make out the nature of the glittering object. Resting atop a dark and sinister looking stand is a blood red pillow. Resting safely upon the pillow is a golden crown set with several large red gems.

Pyros' eyes grow to triple their normal size!
Speechless, which is seems also impossible, he turns and quickly returns to the group.

Seeing the little fellow coming back Jerry asks, "You ok, Pyros? What happened?"

[presume, for now, that Pyros describes everything from my last post to the group and that Karl, Art and Adran make it to join them at the intersection]

"Have I ever told you the story about the gift that was too good to be true? There was a Brave Knight, the strongest of them all, he was aging and he wanted to prove he was still the strongest, so he sought out a Dragon to prove his honour and his skill, the strongest and the oldest Dragon he could find. They fought a long and hard battle, until finally the Dragon was bested, realising he was beaten the Dragon offered a deal, the Knight would get a wish in exchange for he Dragons life." Mira explains as she listens to the Kenders news.

"The Knight took the wish, he was foolish and vain, wishing that he could once again be young. No sooner had the wish been made than the Knight became a helpless baby, an easy meal for a Dragon as strong as he was." She smirks, "The Moral of course is not everything you see is what you expect. We should approach, but carefully."

"Sir Percival of Therguard, I recall my Father telling me that. Agreed, we approach with Caution." Coming alongside the Bard he dons his armor where he can, cleaning the steel with careful precision.

"I will check the room again. but I don't think there are any physical traps."
Pyros will wave off the rest but as Artanis to come help him search the room.

Artanis nods. I've no skill with traps, but this long dead-end is certainly a goood place to trap people... then again, the same could be said of most places with only one entranc. he smiled, I prefer the outdoors.

If nobody casts it here, Jerry says, "Just a moment please, I'll try look for magical traps," and casts Detect Magic. She then scans for traps on the approach to the crown before eyeballing the crown itself. If she spots any magic, Jerry lingers her gaze to try and ascertain its strength and school or sphere.
