The man falters when Mira mentions Sithicus. He looks Pyros up and down and perhaps considers the bard's words, but mostly seems stunned. The defiance and belligerence drain from his eyes, deflating him significantly. Five gold it is. Come back tomorrow and it'll be ready. he says quietly, not looking at them. taking a mostly empty whiskey jug that has long ago lost it's cork, he shambles out of the room deeper into the house; leaving the strangers and the garment in the filthy room. Holy gods, what did you say to him? Yasir asks, bewildered.

Yasir looks at the Kender skeptically.

"Oh Pyros." Mira forces a smile.. "He has Hoopak wounds. I guessed that he'd suffered at the hands Pyros's less friendly kin." Mira explains as they leave the shop.. "Clean the hands, clean the soul..." she vocalises as she walks, cleaning her body as she does so.

"He blamed Pyros for that, and was going to be awkward. I bet the work we get will be top notch." Pulling Yasir close she returns to the Wayfarer. Limbering her voice as she walks.

Pyros laughs uncontrollably. "Darn, not even for a second eh?"

"I guess he knows me too well." She grins.

As the party steps outside, A short, leathery skinned old man comes bounding out of a building just down the street; which Mira, Cross and Elsa recognize as the Jail they stopped by earlier. He is carrying an old short sword in one hand while a ring of skeleton keys flails about in his other. He spots the party and dashes toward them with panic in his eyes. Wait! Please! When he reaches the group he stumbles to a halt and goes on. Help, I say! One of the inmates has escaped his cell! And I'll be cursed if he ain't a mean one! As he draws his hand across his dark forehead, you see that it comes away soaked in blood. A nasty gash runs along his hairline, above his left eye, and allows a thin stream of blood to run down across his cheek. Mixing with his heavy perspiration, it drips onto his tattered tunic, doubtlessly ruining the already worthless garment.

Mira understands his words.

"An inmate?" Mira asks quickly, she had a dagger, nothing else. "An imate escaped from the jail..." She explains to the group. "We could help, or we could move on."

"Personally i think we should help. Not all of us perhaps, but some of us." Drawing the mdagger she nods to the man. "Tell us what you can, which way did he go?" She asks in Harmonian.

"I'm just asking, I think the was attacked at the inmate escaped." She explains.

The man looks to the warriors swords, Elsa's mace and gestures for everyone to follow him towarss the jail. We must hurry! He is out of his cell but still behind the gate! If he is not put back into another cell he will find the secret passage and escape! Please! You must help! It is the law, you must aid a constable in need. his voice is desperate rather than demanding. There will be a reward, of course.

In a group as large as the party let's just assume someone understands him.

Pyros will run ahead... but he doesn't have a clue where to go.

Elsa follows close behind the Kender, and Yasir stays near the bard, whispering to her. Escaped prisoner? That looks like a jail up there. Let me and the Ranger go first. He says, drawing his newly repaired short sword.

"Exactly, Yasir Artanis up front. I'll go behind, Cross, Cal next... Elsa can you cover the rear with Pyros?" Mira nods somewhat.. Suspicions.

"Keep alert, I'm... Concerned." She admits keeping the dagger drawn and moves to the jail. "He is still in the jailx but supposedly there is a secret passage. We need those Elven eyes peeled."

Staying behind the warriors she keeps her eyes open and dagger at the ready. "What can you tell me about him?" She asks the constable as they walk.
