[OOC] Given that the chest is small enough for two people to carry, I'm assuming it's too small to fit a person in (considering that a casket typically needs six pallbearers). [/OOC]
"If she is not in the box, let us move on. And take care not to disturb these things. They belong to someone else, and have nothing to do with why we are here," Christopher's tone is impatient - he is unused to problems that can not be solved directly.

Eloise would probably just be able to squeeze into the chest, but indeed it is unlikely that Erika is in there. It looks like it was made to store quivers of arrows.
Does anyone look into the box? Who opens the door (it opens to the inside, with the hinge on the left side)? Do they take any precautions or look at anything closely?

Thelma shrugs and looks inside the chest, "Chests hold shiny things, and I like shiny things." She jokes as she inspects the chest for traps and triggers.
If there is nothing, we move on. Rawr.
Dale stays close to the women at this stage, "Right, we are behind you."

Thelma discovers no sign of a trap and opens the chest.
Instead of shiny things, this one is filled with rough stones. They are quite large, she would need both hands to lift one out. Given their size and number, she and Eloise would probably not be able to lift and carry the full chest, but Christopher and Dale might manage.

"Rocks?" Eloise murmors, "Why would they have Rocks ?" Frowning she moves away from the chest and steps outside into the hallway.

Where exactly does Eloise go? Back to the main corridor and downstairs into the hall? Or does she open the door that leads on from the side corridor (where the chest is standing nearby)?

(Through the side corridor.)

With some difficulty, and then with Thelma's help, Eloise opens the door. Outside, they find the bridge to the old keep. It is made of sturdy, albeit weathered, wood, about six feet wide and with railings at both sides. Since they're in the second storey, the drop to the yard would be nearly 25 feet.
(Please specify everyone's movements)

Eloise pauses, turning back, "Should we go over?" she asks any who are near.

Thelma nods her head, "We shall." Looking towards the chests of rocks, she asks, "I wonder if the rocks have something to do with the bridge?"

"Perhaps they were put there to block our way?" She asks, putting her hand on her sisters shoulder.

(OOC: just a reminder that I need clearly stated actions from everyone before I can go on)

Saul peers into the chest after the girls scamper off. After a brief moment he looks to Christopher in askance. "Pig iron perhaps? I presume it's ore. I can think of no other reason to store large rocks in a chest like this..."

Dale moves with the ladies as before. He keeps pace with them as security.

"They might be weights for a trap," Thelma tells Eloise.
