Out of Character discussion

The 2E AD&D Homebrew Sandbox world of Genwald is large, ancient, and magical. There are many undiscovered/untamed places. The Sun Kingdom (European style, Late Medieval Human NG Monarchy) is the basic Campaign area, but PCs can end up anywhere.

The scars of ancient battles of titanic proportions mark the land. Wild magic zones, fantastical terrain, grand adventure, political strife, and even artifacts of wonder await. Choose your part and come make your mark on the world. A wide array of unconventional races and classes are available.

Moved your post here from the game thread since it was all ooc.

Your own quote explains the situation.
Ausie wrote: Humanoids with this proficiency have learned to fight in the cramped confines of dungeons and underground lairs. In such loca- tions, or in other extremely close fighting con- ditions, characters armed with bludgeoning or piercing weapons (or their own natural weapons) receive a +2 bonus to attack rolls.
Your character is outside, in the forest. There is plenty of room for the orc to dodge around in or move. It doesn't matter that you're using daggers or fists. It matters that you are not in cramped areas.

I listed "inside buildings designed only for M sized creatures (since Garroth is Large)." in order to give you more areas where it would apply for Garroth since he is a larger creature. It's an advantage for you. I don't know why you're arguing about it. If you don't want it, that's fine.

You're correct that I failed to apply the species enemy and ranger 2-wep fighting bonuses. I'll correct those. That was a copy-over from the goblin cave I should have double-checked.

in the future just list the adjusted thac0 and roll a bare d20 for to-hit numbers please.

Ok... thanks.. I know what I'm doing In The future with close combat, and will come in useful in human sized dwellings..
I'm not 100% agreeable to the ruling, but itsyour game and I accept it so we can move on.

Is Linar in the correct direction to shoot at Garroth's BP from the direction Garroth's indicating that the 'Wild Elves' are approaching from?
==> If yes, what's the AC (or THAC0 modifier) to hit Garroth's BP?
==> And how would work to just miss the BP and pot an orc?

If no, then considering the orcs to be the center of a circle, what arc (approx number of degrees clockwise) is it from Garroth to Linar?

If Linar is west and Garroth North, you are 90 degrees away. And nothing saying elves aren't trying to flank. So it work as is.

But if he can move westwards a bit First may even be better..

It really doesn't
Matter where the arrow goes.. hiring an Orc works just as well I suppose..

Hitting, not hiring.. we don't need no stinkin Orcs..

He could aim for the backpack I suppose. non-melee target but pack sized, i'll call it AC 6. a miss would have a higher chance of hitting Garroth, though. The angle the arrow comes from would not be consistent with Garroth's remarks, but they're orcs, they might not notice/care

Ok. If you could nudge him that'd be helpful. My own irregular posting probably isn't helping. I expect to be much more consistent again soon.

I'm back. I've had a lot on my plate the past two weeks. Barely been able to get to my PC.

PC is out of commission at the moment but that is not an excuse because I have the laptop. I blame my lack of posting on the united states of america because why the hell not, and on Noc because I haven't done anything to actively annoy him in a while (blaming him for my not posting is what should annoy him, not my lack of posting to annoy him - cause that wasn't a thing)
