"Back. They come." Katten warns, motioning with her hand she returns the axe to her belt and once again draws her bow. "Bows ready." She warns and prepares to fire, flattening herself against the wall.

Where does everyone want to be standing?

The top of the incline is only visible from standing next to the very base of the ramp; otherwise the cavern ceiling is too low (about 5') to see the peak. The passage is wide enough for 2 abrest

What is the distance from there to the top of the incline?

Jordek makes sure he is behind the frontline he would like to try to conceal himself if possible by hide in shadows(preferably along the wall).

OOC - what is the lighting situation here? he has no infravision

Elden stands behind nocturno (in the third rank since he cant see anything)

basically full darkness this far in, though light can be seen back towards the entrance.

Katten and Linar can see for only the briefest moment, a pair of goblin heads pop up over the crest before trying to duck back quickly again.

[Actions and Initiative please!]

Katten and Linar, since they were weapon-ready and watching the crest can make 1 bow attack before initiative begins.

So Katten and Linar are in the front at the base of the ramp
Nocturno and Dellinanth are in the 2nd rank (Dellinanth has a spear ready)
Elden and Jordek are in the 3rd rank
Indendien is bringing up the rear with her bow ready.

A character can move through friendly space, but it takes twice as much movement. Climbing takes twice as much movement (except for rogues). If you are hit while climbing the ramp you'll have to make a check to keep from tumbling back down.

Katten quickly loosens an arrow, before pausing to reload.

Long Bow (Thaco 18) [1d20] = 15 dmg [1d6] = 5 +4 against Goblins.
So hit AC -1 for 5 damage.

Katten and Linar fire instinctively. The ranger catches one goblun square in the face, dropping it like a rotten fruit falling from a tree. The drow also strikes true, though only catches his target in the shoulder before it ducks back again.
