Artanis Auir

Artanis listens for the tell tale sounds of a blacksmith at work from behind the closed doors. Although it's cooler out today, Artanis enjoys being outside. And if he gets too cold, he always has his spell available.

Mira quickly scribes the spell, making her own notations and taking up 5 pgs of her spellbook, leaving her with 20 pgs left. Heading downstairs, she and Elsa excuse themselves from the group and make their way to the blue bolt. The shop is not yet open, but they can see some movement inside.

Artanis listens carefully but doesn't hear anything except the wind.

Elsa and Mira: Outside The Blue Bolt
Shielding her eyes from the sun, Elsa peers through the window of the shop. It doesn't look open yet... should we try the smithy first, or do you want to knock? the halfling asks.

"We are probably a little early." Looking at Elsa she blushes deeply. "Do you ummm have any spells that might help with... Possible side effects? I wanted to get away so I could ask you.."

Elsa takes on a look pf total confusion. Side effects? What kind of...OH! The shorter woman's face flushes a deep crimson. Y... you mean like a... preventative... thing...? she stammers. I don't think I can help... I'm a general cleric of good, but I lean towards... ummm... fertility... Elsa averts her gaze at the end and only watches Mira through the rippled reflection of the shop glass. So, shallWeGoSeeIfJohnIsOpenYet? she asks, much too quickly and marching off before waiting for a reply.

"Oh Elsa." Running after her Mira grabs her shoulder. "That was totally unfair of me. I will never be that insensitive again." She nods. "Come let's go to to Johns." Taking her hand she show's no signs of being embarrassed.

When Mira catches up to her Elsa stops and glances around embarrassed, then regards the bard with mild shock. What?! No! No, you didn't offend me, i'm just... it's just that I'm not... I guess... The shorter woman lets out a frustrated groan of exasperation. Taking a deep breath she starts again, much more calmly. It's just that I grew up in a small community, you know? It was just a little farming village in the middle of nowhere. She looks around and laughs, Even Harmonia seems huge compared to Hilldale. We had a population of maybe two or three hundred... tops! I've only ever been to a real city once, and that was an Elven city a few days away... She seems to realize she is rambling and shakes her head. I'm just not used to people... talking about that kind of stuff out in the open. Anyway, I didn't mean to seem rude or with my nose in the air, I just... I've only trained in kind of the opposite... if you know what I mean... making plants grow... helping livestock bear... helping women... well... you get the idea. Her color rises throughout the conversation, leaving her beet-faced at the end.

"Elsa my dear, you are possibily the cutest.." Kissing her head she stifles a giggle.. "What you saw last night must have been a bit of a shock to you. I'll remember that in the future." Shaking her head as the red tresses fall about her she pauses. "I have two questions to ask. But I don't want to make you more embarrassed."

occ: sorry for taking some time was away from my comp for a while cross has all his gear in his pack he keeps it with him almost all the time cross will try and learn Sleep,Chromatic Orb looking for 75 learn sleep [1d100] = 45 and Chromatic Orb [1d100] = 5

cross thanks call for a chance to look at his spell book and look threw it reverently then takes the time to right down the spells in his book once that's done he decides to follow Artanis to hone his fishing craft

Noting the absence of any sound coming from John's shop, Artanis comes to the conclusion that John has not opened yet. Perhaps too much revelry at the festival last night. Since the rest of the group, minus the two women folk who are dress shopping, were coming to John's shop as well, Artanis opts to wait. The Ranger pulls up a piece of ground and sits leaning against the side of the shop. He muses to himself: "I need a hat." "Why?" "For times like this - I can just pull it down over my eyes and nap." "Shouldn't you be more concerned about finding out more regarding this place and how to get back?" "Why?" "Hmmmm. Good point. We need a hat."

Artanis: The Loop

Elsa and Mira: near the Blue Bolt
I wasn't shocked, exactly... you two had been making eyes at each other all day... I just didn't expect to walk into it when I got to the room. So... what kind of questions did you have? She asks, only blushing slightly as they walk more slowly towards John's place.

Cal, Cross, Pyros, Yasir: Wayfarer's Rest
Cross finds two spells he likes and makes some quick copies on a nearby table since he has all of his gear with him already. The server looks askance at them, but doesn't interrupt. The party quickly realizes that the bard has gone and nobody can communicate with the server... and the quickly dwindling group has yet to pay! The man stands nearby patiently to attend any further requests.

Once Cross is done with his copies, he heads out in search of Artanis. Stepping out into the street, he is startled at first by a low howling sound coming from nowhere in particular. Few people are about, even at this hour, and the cool wind tugs at his clothes. A few moments pass before he recognizes the sound for what it is... the wind whipping between buildings nearby... A sigh of relief and he is off to find the Ranger. As he turns NorthWest along the Loop he spots Mira and Elsa a couple of blocks ahead, talking quietly.

[Cross spell pgs sleep and chromatic orb [1d6] = 4[1d6] = 2: 6 pgs total.]

One, Pyros, you like him don't you, after what you just told me, I get why you haven't jumped on him. (I'm not sure what he'd do if you did.)" Giggling she keeps her eyes fixed on her. "Second, have you... Any experience in that area?"
