The result of this being that the public is not widely informed about other civilisations and are only told of the glorious crusades, victories and interventions that the Arisen Empire. The residents of the capital are therefore ignorant of other uncivilised peoples and are self-obsessed with their importance. People living on the fringes of the Empire are much more easy going, accepting of others and worldly.
