Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Locky wanders inside the room, still a little put out. Putting her things down she too washes up as best she can.
Jerrard rises to his feet and closes his spellbook, what was that singing? He goes to investigate, still wearing his sword.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Locky and Babushka wash up the best they can. It may not be as fancy as a full sauna bath and massage, but it's certainly cheaper, at least.
Jerrard steps out into the hallway and realizes the door just across from his own room is also slightly ajar. Peeking in through the door, he spots a woman in front of a full-sized mirror. She is singing to herself, as well as practicing dance moves in front of the mirror, as if rehearsing. The various bracelets and little trinkets she wears chink with every graceful movement she makes. Unlike the other women of Khur the party has encountered, she wears neither a veil or a burka--in fact, she wears very little at all.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Knocking on the door gently Jerrard stands back. Putting his hands behind his back.
"Excuse me, I am very sorry to disturb you. I umm just wanted to say your singing was lovely. I can't wait to see your show." he smiles, hiding his blade behind him.
Locky enjoys splashing about greatly! By the time she is finished at least half of the floor is damp. "Its a shame Imani didnt join us, it would have been fun.. You know the idea of a Kender doing those things with big folk upsets me. Paladine would want me to help them. Maybe Jerrard could make me invisible so I could sneak in!"

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Knocking on the door causes it to open further. The dancer, surprised at the interruption, spins around and throws a dagger she had been hiding...somewhere. It thunks into the doorframe near Jerrad and quivers a moment.
"Oh!" She puts her hands up to her mouth. "I'm so sorry, you startled me." She hurries over to the door, removes the dagger, and it disappears somewhere on her person in seconds. "Please, come in," she offers. "I am so sorry about that."

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
After washing up a little bit, Imani heads back downstairs to sit down at a table and to get something to eat.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"I don't know, Locky." Babushka says sadly. "It upsets me too how people in general are treated in these lands, and women in particular. There are so many wrongs, even with Paladine's help we have very little chance to do much about it."
Seeing the watery mess on the wooden floor, Babuska reaches for her and Locky's washcloths, wrings them and then throws one over to the kender. "But we shouldn't let our disapproval of this land's customs lead us to let their beautiful buildings go to rot. Let's mop up a bit, or the floor will get damaged."

There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Imani returns to the common area and has a seat on one of the pillows surrounding low tables. The same Khurish man who greeted them when they first arrived approaches and bows slightly. "What can I get you, mistress?"

"What are you serving today?" Imani asks, looking up to the man.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"We're still serving breakfast, although you can ask for anything you like," he says. "Perhaps some pastries with tea? Or something more substantial are you looking for?"

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"I'll take whatever you are serving for breakfast," Imani says. "Plus some water to drink."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
The innkeeper brings Imani a glass of water, as well as a small plate of local breakfast delicacies, including labneh (strained yoghurt), fatayer (meat pie pastry), and some pita bread and jam.
The table she has chosen is rather close to the one the ogre and two Khurish men sit at. Close enough, that she can overheard their conversation in her native language. They seem to be discussing the Rose of the Desert.
"I heard she was a nomad queen, exiled and forced to dance here for a living," says one.
"Well, I heard she is a demon from the abyss, sent in human guise to seduce and kill young men. They say no man can resist her charms, and that she has strange, mystical powers," adds the other.
"So you won't be watching the show?" the ogre inquires.
"I...I didn't say that," the second man responds. This elicits a chuckle from his companions.

Jumping slightly he moves out of the way, before entering the room glancing to see if anyone sees him do so.
"I must apologize for startling you, I was just. Shall we say enticed by your singing?" The mage blushes, "I assume you are the 'Rose' we heard of recently?" he smiles, "I am Jerrard Foss." He says offering his hand.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"I suppose!" Locky giggles splashing her friend, she pulls on a simple white robe and helps with the floor. "I should ask him about that spell."
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Glancing around quickly, Jerrard notes there is nobody else in the hall--at least, that he can see.
She smiles at his greeting. "The Rose of the Desert, they call me, yes. You've heard of me," she asks, gently accepting his hand. "Although in truth," she says softly, as if confiding a deep secret, "my name is actually Malika. Jerrard Foss...a western name, no? I can tell by your accent, too. You have come a very long way then, just to see little old me dance?" she asks coquettishly.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Yes it is a Western Name, I hail from Palanthas." He leans in, kissing her hand like a gentleman. "I could be untruthful and say I had indeed traveled all this way to see you dance." He pulls back, "But Alas, my being here to see is a happy accident."
"You do not seem like the other women here Malika, but I am still getting used to the customs, and ways of this land."
