Babushka is unable to find any trace of recent passage through the tunnel. The tunnel doesn't appear dangerous, at least not at first glance.

Locky would notice that on the other side of the river, in the southern part of the cavern, the area is lush with tall growths of pale fungi, mainly mushrooms. The fungi do not seem to grow near the river banks, and in some places tunnels appear to have been cut into the jungle of mushrooms. This is where the funghemoth came from, and it likely lived there.

(Its too far to jump... hmmm)

Locky takes a look at the water, eyes it up, takes off her pack (which becomes visible) and jumps in, trying to cover as much ground as she can with her jump so she doesnt have to swim that far.

As far as anyone else is concerned, Locky's pack appears and drops to the ground, and then there's a splash in the river.

Locky finds navigating the river isn't too tough, and makes it to the other side dripping wet, but otherwise fine.

Locky smiles, what is a bit of water when you are having fun?

She starts to investigate the Fungus, something Jerrard said makes her not touch the underside, she pushes them out of the way, then starts walking down the paths. Seeing what she can see in a typical Kender fashion.

Kender are infamous throughout Krynn for their curiosity. They can never leave well enough alone, and many people view the entire race as a nuisance because they often walk straight into trouble without any regard for their own safety.

Sometimes, however, a kender's insatiable curiosity can lead to great consequences, as well as terrible ones. In this case, Locky has hit the jackpot.

The tunnels don't go very far, but they do bring Locky to some kind of nesting grounds where the funghemoth once dwelt. On the ground are the indigestible bits of several podmen and some small humanoid bones. The bones are difficult to identify, but are obviously from a small race--possibly goblins or maybe kobolds. Scattered around the area there are numerous coins of steel, silver and copper, a large dark green gemstone as big as a man's fist, a noxious and ruptured suit of small-sized leather armor (it looks like it was partially digested), a candle, and a rusted long sword.

(ooc: She hasnt had much chance to be a true Kender lately, and wow!)

Picking through the remains she collects the gem, the candle, a bone, and struggles to lift the sword.
"How interesting.." She mutters to herself the sword suddenly vanishing.

Turning from the piles of treasure she places the sword by the bank, where it reappears, and shouts to the group "Do you want some coins, I have lots here."

Jerrard inspects the ashes of the creature, before joining Babuskha at the edge of the water, noting the plants on the other side he starts to shake. (He doesnt see Lockys pack appear)

1d20=14 I expected that to fail!

Turning back he keeps the plants in the corner of his eye, in case one decides to attack him, seeing the splash he almost jumps out of his skin.

"Damn, damn, this is unacceptable." He reprimands himself.

Jerrard examines the creature's ashes and sees that Babushka's dagger is among them. It's still intact, although probably very hot.

When he sees the mushroom forest, he manages to keep control of himself and not run off in fear.

================================

Babushka's dagger's saving throw vs magical fire (1d20): 6, pass. Just barely. Babushka's dagger remains intact.
Jerrard's saving throw vs fear (14+1=15, pass).
Locky's Bless wears off.

(Jerrard kicks lightly at the dagger, deciding it is not time to collect it)

He then looks down the river, testing the path to see if it is safe.

The tunnel seems to extend pretty far and starts to slowly descend lower, heading further underground. The path along the river's side seems perfectly safe from what he can see, which isn't very far in the torchlight.

"Damnit!" Babushka curses under her breath. Locky running off, invisible and thus unstoppable, Jerrard in the grip of unreasonable fear, it was hard to take care of her friends!

She turns to Ulster. "Ulster, could you please join Locky and see what she's found? I can't carry much, and I prefer to stay with Jerrard. We'll go a little way into the tunnel by the river and wait for you there, so Jerrard doesn't see the plants."

Babushka joins Jerrard, then walks a little bit ahead to be out of the torchlight. What can she see?

"Will he be okay here in the dark?" Ulster asks. With a shrug, he holds the torch high and crosses the river, careful to not let the torch be submerged. He has an easier time than Locky, thanks to his height and weight.

He look around, but sees nothing but a rusty long sword on the ground. "Hey, where are you?" he asks. He sheathes his own weapon and picks up the rusty sword.

Babushka stays close to Jerrard. "You can lay your hand on my shoulder if you like." she tells him.

"Ooo Ulster, I am here." Locky says jumping up in front of the warrior. "There is lots of gold and coins here. Its very pretty, but some is yucky." She says as she kicks the leather armor.

"Being invisible is fun!" She giggles, can we carry it all?

Jerrard looks down at the little gnome, his eyes could barely make out her form. His whole body shaking he opens his palm a small puff of light appears, barely illuminating his face.

"Thank you Babuskha." He says placing his hand on her shoulder, squeezing it gently. "This is quite disconcerting, even being near a plant is, quite disturbing." He blushes, unseen in the darkness.

"I would suggest we go very slow, the path could be quite dangerous." He pulls close, then pulls back quickly.
