Okay, I've started the thread for the first chapter by basically merging Goldmoon's thread with Raistlin's and Laurana's. So Jenara, Talyn, and Brelia can all start posting there instead. Once SBX finishes his prologue, they can start posting in the CH 1 thread, as well.

Things are all ready getting interesting, and we now have three big deviations from the books. First, Laurana is being introduced much earlier, of course. Second, Tanis, Tas and Flint will now arrive at the inn last. In the stories, they arrived second, with Sturm, Goldmoon and Riverwind arriving last. Third, in the books Sturm merely escorted the plainsfolk to the inn, he did not take them on as 'servants.'

I am quite curious to see if these deviations have a big impact on the story or not, and what else might happen along the way. Very exciting, indeed!

I checked Goldmoon's equipment and skills and found that she has herbalism, but no mention of herbs or herbal preparations in her equipment.

Do we assume that she has something like a "herbalism first aid kit" (just as we did with the clothes) or wasn't it possible to buy one when they bought their equipment?

I just used the equipment lists from the module itself. As the module was originally written in 1E, and there were no nonweapon proficiencies in 1E (and hence, no herbalism) that is probably why there was no mention of herbs in her inventory.

But we can add an herbalism kit to her inventory without any problem.

Just a thought, Laurana barely knew the two brothers before they went off and left her.

We need to find a way to integrate her into the party proper. SBX's posting rate has dropped considerably, so it could be awhile before Tanis arrives at the inn.

It's been a week since SBX's last post, so I'm going to post for him for the sake of moving things along.

It has been a long time since I read the books, but I know his story.

I am re-reading the Chronicles now Jen has read up on Laurana once more.
