A fresh start

Brian's store is a true general store, a miscellany of what people in a small town may need. His focus is, of course, on fishing gear, but he has various tools you would need for the garden, the orchard and around the house. There is also a section of household goods like pots, pans and crockery. The textile department has towels, bedclothes and a few simple but pretty fabrics, calico and some wool cloth. He also sells grain, flour and other foodstuff not produced locally, as well as salt.

The only kind of ware that is obviously missing are weapons and armor.

[Jenara]

"I believe we need to make a list, and return with it." Brax idly checks the shelves, That would be best I think" Brax walks over to Vee, locking arms with her. she looks up. "We need to go to Chiara's once more, do we not?"

[LittleLuna]

"Yes, let's go." Vee answers. She picks up her silver and puts them in her sash. "Thanks for changing"

"I really like the dress. Its so hmmm....blue" Vee loughs back on the sreet when they're walking back to Chiaras. "but I think I had to borrow your boots one more time, to go barefoot on this party could be embarrassing. By the way, I think I've forgotten to thank you for lending them to me in the house. And for let me sleep in your room the first night"

Some time in the afternoon, Geraldine seeks out Amon. Making sure no one who is not part of the group is near, she asks him: "Would you please go have a look at what the gnolls are doing? You are the only one who can communicate with them."

"Of course," he says. Amon collects Dogmeat, heads over to the mansion to check on the gnolls, and then reports back his findings to Geraldine when he is finished.

[Breila]

Amon finds the gnolls in the old kitchen, they seem to just finish a meal and throw the refuse out. It consists of bones, the long ones broken and the marrow sucket out. Krtk throws his head up, licking the blood off his snout as he does so.

"Goblin" he explains to Amon. "I believe that is food you find right, yes? He was in the woods"

The bones are the right size for the gnoll's claim. They assure Amon they are well and can take care of themselves, and that "there is no new smell in the caverns".

Amon does his best to hide his disgust at their meal. He actually feels kind of bad for the goblin, but it's better than a human, he supposes. After confirming that they are fine, he quickly departs lest he loses his lunch in front of them and risk offending them.

He reports everything he learned to Geraldine. If there is nothing further, he heads back home to prepare for the evening's festivities.

[Breila]

"Thank you" Geraldine smiles at him. "How long do you think you will be gone to take care of things in Dunreese? And have you told the gnolls you will be gone for a few days, do they know when to expect our next action with the smugglers? I'm worried they get out of control if they aren't visited on a regular basis. They are beasts, after all, we know very little about them."

[Jenara]

"Yes, let's go." Vee answers. She picks up her silver and puts them in her sash. "Thanks for changing"

"It is my pleasure." Brax giggles, her arm around Vee, "Keep them, I have another pair." She says, leading the girl back to the shop. "The dress is quite lovely, you look very nice."

Standing outside the shop, Brax adds: "As for staying in my room, it was and will always be my pleasure." She looks up at the girl. "Have you ever wondered why I call you 'Little One' ? When you are taller than me, and I am the 'little one'?" She looks directly at the Girl a moment. "I see an innocent soul, one that needs to grow and be nurtured, I am happy to help." With a sudden blush she darts back into the dress shop, flustering as she does so.

"Thanks" Vee says smiling.

After the comment about the innocent soul Vee tries not to burst into laughs cause Brax seems to mean it seriously. "I don't know how do you scale innocence, but my little soul isn't near to zero!"

[Jenara]

"Compared to me.. ? Your soul is clean." she responds simply, if she noticed the humor she says nothing.

[Breila]

(OOC: Just so we can move on: is everybody ready for the party on the boat? Where do you meet, and who brings the supplies? Does Amon organise everything?)

(ooc: Searos is ready and is going to come as is. He does not plan on dressing up in anything other than what he owns. I suppose he helps Gunther with the maywine or something but other than that, he's got his deck of cards and his dice.)

Gunter has the wine ready to go, he just needs to know where this boat is at!

Vee is ready too and looks forward to a little booze
