While everyone is talking Pyros will be sorting the coins by type. "How odd.. no steel pieces. They sure loved their gold though." He will look at the paper again. "Anyone have a scroll case?"

[oddly enough, Cross has an empty scroll case from his "Find Familiar" scroll]

Does the Kender's appraising eye think he can roll that letter up?

"I do." Looking at the treasure he will look to Merrick. "Looks like I can return your funds faster than I expected. Maybe I can learn a safer spell from you folks. I don't want to burn our front line folks like that again."

Pyros begins sorting and counting the coins

[The parchmemt is old and fragile and pressed under glass. I think a dex check at -5 will be be necessary to move it without it crumbling]

"Thank you, but nevermind. I think I will break it. Does anyone have any paper? Maybe I can trace it." The Kender looks around thinking. Once he is done counting he will start searching his pouches for paper.

He also dumps out any of the current loot he finds.

Adran offers the kender a sheet

"Its appears that its only our world that values Steel over everything else." Mira comments, happy that Pyros was leaving the scroll alone. "You know, we really should be moving."

(No Mira is taking however many stones she can find (including those that Pyros drops), and a pile of coins, she won't hide anything).

Hearing the moving on comment. "Unless we have been scry'd, this will probably be the most secure location we can find. Merrick offered to cover the hatch with an illusion. I am out of damage spells for the day." Cross looks at the coins. Doing some counting he will start to see what it divided equally should be.

"Quite for a quick moment please!" Another of the rare instances where you can tell the Kender is actually being serious. He will take the paper from Adran. "Thanks! Anyone have a charcoal or other writing item? I seem to have misplaced mine." He will say this rummaging through his pouches.

Pyros sets to work.

He will place the paper on the glass.

"Do we have a light source?" If one becomes available will get the person holding it to move it around till it works best to see the original. Above him, beside him, so it shines into the glass. Whatever makes it easiest to see the lettering of the original.

[ he's not going to get the light to shine through parchment because it's basically scraped leather and all. It would have to be behind the parchment in the first place so tracing like you think of it today is not going to happen here. You can just try to copy it by hand with the normal dex check that's fine]
