Well, uh, he hasn't gotten Gregeddin killed. So there's that.

Once you get caught up, there are a few new storylines in place that might be of interest to Gregeddin.

First, there's that free spell Magnus promised him. However, as the job was left unfinished, Magnus might not want to pay up. Gregeddin might need to smooth things over with him.

Second, by now word has reached the bard that one of the local blacksmiths (Thoron Costen) is trying to marry off his four comely daughters to wealthy gentry. I don't know if Gregeddin has ever considered settling down. It might make him seem more respectable. But then again, he might enjoy living the single life. In any case, as one of the daughters is a PC, it might make for an interesting (and potentially awkward) first encounter if he decides to go and meet them. No harm in at least checking them out, anyway.

Third, he also would have learned by now that the new prefect is having a party tonight. It's a fancy soiree for the city's elite. Gregeddin never got around to speaking with the prefect for the Trade Guild and that would be an opportune place and time to do so, not to mention rub elbows with the more influential people of the city. But first, he'd need to find a way to score an invite...

Just spotted these: "Food 0/2, Drink 0/7, Sleep 0/8, Bath 3"
Did have a quick look but didn't see the definition and off to work just now..
What do they mean, please?

There mostly for my own reference, but they mean:

Food - The number of pounds of food the character has eaten that day. Most people need at least 2 pounds a day (or two meals), although some of the smaller races can do with just one. If a character goes too long without food, they start to suffer penalties and eventually starve to death.

Water - The number of pints of liquid consumed by the character that day. How many is usually based on race. If a character goes too long without water (or wine, ale, tea, whatever), they start to suffer penalties and eventually die of thirst.

Sleep - The number of hours of sleep acquired that day. If a character doesn't get enough sleep, they start to suffer penalties.

Bath - The number of days since that character has last had a bath. If a character goes too long without a bath, they start to smell (usually about a week). This can affect the way people react to the PC; for instance, if speaking with nobles or wealthy merchants, it might make them like you less. On the other hand, being too clean might turn off the peasants and riffraff, who might think you are too hoity-toity.

These numbers mean a lot less in this game, because everyone has homes (or inn rooms) so food and drink and sleep aren't hard to come by (for instance, if Arulia forgets to eat dinner, I can assume she eats when she goes home for the night). But I keep track of them anyway. They can be useful for immersion. For instance, if your character skips breakfast, then come dinner time I might have their stomach rumble to remind them they haven't eaten yet.

{OOC: Clarification please - does "soldier" here mean part of the invading army? i.e. carry weapons? And does Shima recognize the goblin or either of the kender?}

(OOC: The goblin is part of the dragonarmy. And no, Shima just arrived in town, he wouldn't recognize anybody here at this point.)

How much in game time has passed since chapter 6 just out of curiosity?
I still need to read things to wrap my head around what's happened, but a time context would help. Thanks

Chapter 6 took place during Autumn Harvest 28th, Chapter 7 during Autumn Harvest 29th and Chapter 8 during Autumn Harvest 30th.

So it's currently Autumn Twilight 1st in Chapter 9. So about 3 days.

If we ask the church for healing we have to tell them that we found the hideout, and given the actions of the church so far, I'm guessing they'll extract the information about where it is from us and ransack the place before we get a chance to look it over again.
