"Then I guess I go alone." Locky shrugs, "Enjoy the City." She winks and moves to the "door."

"Looks like we are in for a long wait," Imani says as she sits down on the bed.

"Indeed, I guess we are." The mage shrugs and raising his arms he pulls off his wet shirt and laying it out to dry. "Termeral, it appears we will have to rely on you somewhat, you can see in this, we can't." He looks a little reluctant.

"There is one thing," Seera says. "There are some items that were never of use to us, and we buried them long ago. Before the dragon arrived."

Qwendeel looks surprised. "Oh, yes. I had forgotten entirely about them. One was a Ring of Swimming. There were a couple other knickknacks like that, as well. Useless to us..."

"But perhaps useful to them," Seera says, finishing the thought.

"Go then," the leader says. "Swiftly and carefully." With that, both Seera and Qwendeel dive into the water and disappear.

"What types of weapons are useful underwater?" Imani asked the remained sea elf. "My scimitars aren't going to be much help under here. I feel...slower under water."

"Piercing weapons are best," he replies. "Slashing and bludgeoning weapons are nearly useless, because of the resistance the water provides. Furthermore, projectile weapons won't work at all for the same reason."

"Why I brought my daggers." Jerrard admits, "Items we could use would be very handy, very handy indeed."

When the two casters return, they have with them a few trinkets that they lay out on the floor. Two are rings--one silver, one bronze--and the third is a series of steel sheets with arcane writing on them.

"Was this all?" the leader asks. Seera nods. "I'm afraid so."

Qwedeel points to the bronze ring. "This ring, when worn, will give the recipient the ability to swim as well as any Dimernesti. The other ring," he says, indicating the silver one, "allows the user to move freely in the water as they do on the land. The water will not slow them down."

The mage then indicates the sheets of steel. "This is a spell, engraved upon these sheets that will create a bubble of air around a person. I never bothered learning it as it's above my ability to cast and pretty useless for our people. The spell will only last about an hour or so, maybe longer. But with it, anyone within the bubble could speak and cast spells normally. Although they wouldn't be able to swim."

The leader nods. "We are willing to lend you these items if it will aid in rescuing our children."

"The ring that allows the wearer to move freely in the water, will it make you unable to swim?" Temeral asks.

"No," Seera says. "But nor will it grant you the ability to swim, like the first ring."

(OOC: It's a Ring of Free Action, which basically means you suffer no attack penalties when fighting under water.)

"I could use the ring that would allow me to move freely," Imani says. "That way I wouldn't be useless here."

"I was thinking that my dear." Jerrard comments. "Temeral should take the other ring and join Locky. I will take the scroll."

"sounds good to me." Locky smiles.

"And you will never be 'useless' my dear." Jerrard comments to Imani, "Is that settled?" the mage asks.
