A fresh start

[Jenara]

"The dress is very nice, most of my clothes are more... indecent." She does not blush, instead she strokes the fabric lovingly. "How much would you like? Perhaps I might be able to trade one of mine?" He mind goes to the black dress, it was her old life.

"Well..." Chiara thinks for a moment. "I would need to see your dresses to decide that" she answers. "This dress is used, so its price would be 5 silver, Add another 2 silver for the changes I need to make."

"I can cover that. As for my dress, I will bring what I have in mind in, when i collect the dress.

Echo stands from her table, and looks to Amon. "What time?" she asks.

Amon shrugs. "Let's say at nightfall, when the stars are just coming out."

"Fine," Echo says. With that, she turns and walks out. She needed to spend some time studying and finding something to wear to this thing.

Searos cheerfully waves goodbye to Echo.

Vee feels the cloth of the blue dress. "It feels very nice... and I like the color. can I try it?"

"Ah, there is something I had to ask..." Vee takes out the coins with the wolf head she had take from the house "Can I pay with these? Or do you know where I can switch them?"

Chiara takes the coin and approaches the window to inspect it. "I've never seen one of those. You would need to see Brian about it. He is the shopkeeper, he knows all the coins in use. But you should try on the dress first." Chiara shows her a screen in a corner, behind it are a stool and a hook on the wall. Obviously, Chiara is prepared for visitors who want to change in privacy. The dress fits nicely.

Chiara directs Vee and Brax to Brian's shop. "I would go with you, but I think I should better work on your dress to get it done by nightfall" she tells them. "You can pay for the blue dress then, too." She smiles.

When they enter the shop, they are greeted by a balding man in his late thirties. When Vee shows him the coin, he smiles and says "Oh, you have one of these, too. Well, I must tell you they are not worth as much as they look. See here" he shows them a "wolf coin" that has been sawed through. The core of the coin is obviously made from a different material than the outside. "These coins are not pure gold, so I can't exchange them for their weight of gold. If I take those you have, and add them to those the militia brought, I can send them to a specialist to extract the pure gold. That is expensive, of course. So instead of gold to gold coin, I can only offer you two silver for each gold coin. Would that be acceptable?

"That is a little steep, but I suppose the cost is acceptable." Brax comments as she looks around the shop with interest.

As the breakfast meeting breaks up and the ladies head out to do whatever it is that ladies do when it comes to clothes, Gunter sighs and looks at Searos and Amon.

"Well lads, any plans for the next few hours?"

"Not unless my master calls me for something," Amon says. "Otherwise, no."

"Ok, I think two silver are ok... I've got the coins here..." with these words Vee fumbles a couple of coins out of her sash and let them, each with a little 'pling' fall down on the counter. then she counts whispering in her home language. "seventeen!" she says loud.

Brian takes two small chest from below the counter, opens one and counts out thirty-four silver for Vee, then opens the other and sweeps the seventeen wolf-head pieces into them before locking both chests again and putting them away.

"Now that you have coin, ladies, is there anything in my shop you'd like to buy?" he asks them with a smile.


(OOC: Brax was right, the price was steep, with a little bargaining, you could have gotten two and a half silver for each wolf-head coin...)

(What does he have? That was the reason Brax looked around.

"I am not sure, we might need some supplies soon." She smiles
