Twelve hours pass without any incident. Thuskar and Babushka take the first six hour watch, and Ulster and Locky take the second.

However, not all is well. Around Second Watch, just as Locky is about ready to pray for her daily spells and the others are preparing breakfast, her sharp kender ears detect footsteps approaching the ruins from the east.

==========

It is now Summer Run (July) 17, Dream Dance (Thursday) at Second Watch (8:00 AM).

Jerrard's, Imani's, Jeremy's and Fikod's severe fatigue has worn off, but they are all still at 1 HP.

"What was that?" Locky asks reaching for her Hoopak, "Ulster, could you come and look?" She asks, moving to the entrance of the building, still without her armor she moves slowly and quietly.

1d100=58, 1d100=78 Detect Noise and Move silently both fail.

"Perhaps Thuskar should go instead?" He motions to to Ulsters armor, and then seeing Locky almost trip he shrugs, "The chance for stealth has gone."

Stepping outside with Ulster, Locky spots the surviving Daergar emerging from the woods. There are six of them--the four they had trapped in the webbing (Oddom is still unconscious and being carried by two others) and the two Jerrard frightened away with his wand. Locky attempts to be stealthy, but she trips slightly and bangs her hoopak against the wall. All of the dwarves look to her and Ulster and freeze in their tracks. Those with their hands free draw their axes. "Shit," mutters one. The two carrying Oddom set her down and ready their own axes, but nobody makes a move just yet.

(OOC: The pink one, number 5, is unconscious.)

"Let them go underground, we promised to let them go" Babushka suggests in a whisper.

Imani pushes herself into a sitting position with a small groan. Despite not feeling as tired as she did before she went to sleep, she still is sore. With a small, determined sigh, she pushes herself up so that she is standing. Taking her bow, she walks towards the exit to see what exactly is going on. "What are your intentions?" she calls out to the dwarves.

The dwarves whisper amongst each other quietly, keeping a close eye on the party's movements while they speak. Finally, one of them steps forward and speaks up. "We just want to go home!" he calls. "And...we left some stuff in there. We want it back," he says, pointing to the building the party is resting in.

"We promised you could go home, and we'll keep our word. Babuhska calls back. "As for your things..." she trails off, looking at Imani and the rest of the group.

"We can allow one of them to get their things," Imani says to the others. "That seems reasonable enough."

"What things do you want?" Ulster calls out.

"There's, uh...a couple of chests we left behind, that's all," says one of the Daergar. "They've got, um, personal belongings. Sentimental value, that's all."

How big are the chests? Could Jerrard conceal them somehow?

-----------

"Chests? We found your bedrolls, not much food, what did you people eat?" Locky asks, Hoopak in hand she watches the dwarves.

"We ate most of our food, we brought it with us," one Daergar says. "Look, the chests are hidden. Just let us get them and we'll be on our way!"

(OOC: Both chests are fairly large, each one weighing 25 pounds empty. As for concealing them, I don't know. Put them back where you found them, behind the loose rock? Otherwise, I'm open to suggestions.)

"Just let them get their chests," Imani says. "We aren't exactly in any position to fight them," she says softly to the others.
