"She probably thinks I'm a cruel and viscous overlord." Arei comments watching the woman.. "Friend." She says pointing to her chest, winching as she does so.

"She sees an elf," Jocelyn says. "She doesn't like you because of that."

"Which is my point." Arei agrees.

Ouragana pulls Maua to her feet and guides her toward the Cohen. "It seems that the language written down here is similar to what she speaks. If she can read and you can translate, maybe we can communicate at last. Which is the sign that says »wengine«?" she asks.

The kohen points to a specific word on the wall. "This one, here," he says.

Ouragana looks at Maua to see if she reacts, does she show any sign of being able to read the glyphs?

Maua looks to the script on the walls, then to the kohen, then to Ouragana. She does not say anything, however.

Ouragana walks to the wall with the script, points to the one the Cohen said meant "wengine", pronounces the word, then points to the next glyph with a questioning look at Maua.

"Walifika," Maua says. She then looks at Ouragana. "Mimi ni mnyama wako, hapa kufanya kwa ajili ya kujifurahisha?"

Ouragana sighs. "I wish you would limit yourself to single words instead of long sentences" she says. "Maybe I'm just too tired, but I don't seem to be able to make any sense of it." Then she turns to Dalaim. "What is the meaning of this glyph, according to you?" She points to the second one again, the one Maua identified as "walifika".

Arei sits back, watching the scene with interest, would she like it if they could understand the Druid?

"Perhaps we should resume our rest?" She suggests, "After all, we can spend as long as we need with her."

Ouragana looks at Arei for a moment, then nods. "You are right, I need to sleep if I'*m supposed to be of any use tomorrow. Can I trust that the people on watch watch our hostage as well?" She yawns hugely and makes her way to her bedroll.

"If she will let me, I will." The Elf replies, resuming her position.

"It means...'arrived,'" Dalaim says. "Wengine walifika--the others arrived. But yes, perhaps you're right. Things might seem clearer at daylight."
