Scanning the ground with her eyes, she drops to the floor, landing with a little pant.

The drop isn't deep, the window is at normal height, she has to do little more than stretch out her legs.
The room is vast, in fact the whole ground floor seems to be a single room, save for what is probably the vestibule to her right. Two rows of pillars support the wooden ceiling, the floor is made of stone. There seem to have been wooden panels along the walls, with benches attached to them, but they have been hacked away in most places.
At the back wall, there is a broad staircase with decorated banisters leading to a landing from which stairs lon both sides lead up to the higher floor.

"...and, there she goes." Dale says with wry amusement.

Hugging the wall Eloise moves towards the main doors, will they open without hassle?

Hugging the wall, Eloise passes by another window (the rest of the group can see her red head passing), then comes against a wooden wall that projects into the room. She has to follow it , then turn right. After another yard of wood wall, wooden doors give access to the vestibule from the inside. They have bars to accept beams helping to keep them closed, but those are missing. However, the doors can be pushed open by leaning against them.
The vestibule has no windows, so it takes eloise's eyes a few seconds to adjust to the dim light seeping in from behind her. The front doors are straight ahead, fitted with beam holders like the inner ones. The floor of the vestibule is made of wood, not of stone like the floor of the main room.

(Does anyone look at the front doors from the outside?)

(Will wait for the others, before she pushes it.)

Dale nudges Thelma and transcribes her reaction.

Drawing her own weapons, Thelma moves in to stand next to the window. She tells the group. "I can hop in if there is trouble, but she should be able to open the door."

In the garden (Matthias)
Much of the flowerbeds are overgrown now, the delicate medicinal plants suffocated by weeds. The only plants that made it are valerian and belladonna, and of course dandelion.

In the courtyard
The front doors are made of heavy wood, held together with ornate wrought-iron bands. No handle or keyhole is visible. the sureface is smooth, there is no gap wide enough to get one's fingers into to pull it open.

(We'll wait another day for Stik or IL to post, then Jen and I will move on)

[OOC] You needn't wait for me. Christopher is just waiting for a door to open. [/OOC]

Taking a deep breath Eloise pushes the door hard with one hand, her untrained eye looking for anything that might be a trap

Matthias stoops to gather a bunch of valerian, "Recompense for the headaches this venture has been giving me," he mutters to himself. He binds his bundle with an errant strand of vegetation, returning to the front where the others are waiting for a door to open.

The floor is smooth and even, made of planks set neatly side by side. Eloise can cross it without difficulty, but she has to push quite hard to open the door. As soon as the first gap is made, the others can help her by grabbing the door and swinging it open to the outside.

(OOC @Tram: Of valerian, it's the roots that are used in medicine. the berb and flower are of little significance, and they don't even smell good. but I'm sure Matthias knows what he's doing. the herb has probably magic properties I don't know about.)

Outside

Dale watches Matthias come back and asks. "What are those if I may ask?"

Thelma waits to help open the door when Eloise opens the door.

Using what strength she has, Eloise pushes the door, making a loud groan as she does so.
