Axid mentally chimes in: "The whole complex certainly be alert now. Maybe if we tie plate armor to our boots we can make less bloody noise. To boot Ke'$ha, shouldn't you be thanking or cursing your Patron deity for not allowing your un-deadness?" He grabs rope from the haversack and ties a cinch knot on a rod and lowers it down so as not to make more blasted noise like some drunk Kender dancing around with horns on its shoes.

Ke'Sha tries to understand what Axid was talking about. For sure the little thing had some insult in mind, but it wasn't clear. And besides, the years Ke'Sha had spent with his familiar, mocking each other, made him quiet resistible to such insults. So after a moment of consideration he retaliates, "With most of my minions perished, I'm having a little project for tomorrow that is dealing with un-deadness as you called it, and since you show great interest, and I happen to need a living humanoid for the task at hand, I wonder if you would want to join my work. You will learn a lot about undeadness and you may even leave a mark on the results. Then you can decide for yourself if to curse or thank The Lord." Ke'Sha keeps his face 'dead serious'.

(OOC: I was sure I already posted an answer... oh well, it was in the same friendly spirit. :)
Anyhow, using Axid rope and after Gur's swiping the room from air, Ke'Sha will help Jack climb down the rope so he can check for traps on the walls and on the floor. If Ke'Sha will see anything of interest which seems safe and valuable enough through Gur's eyes, he will note it to his companions.)

Axid lowers the metal pole by rope, which Ke'Sha promptly unties and tries to collect the rope rather than the pole. You mind bringing that pole over here? Landro asks the halfling. Or would you rather hold the door...?

Gur flies over near the door and scans the area below. Looks like the dead guy has some kinda magic armor or somethin... I don't see anything else... except he's dead... like dead-dead, not un-dead or 'mostly dead' or any of that crap...

Jack eventually makes his way down and drags the pole over to prop up one corner of the door. You make a pretty good door-stop, big guy, but let's get you a break He chuckles. Thanks Axid, wanna send another one?

"Between the two of you, I'm afraid I'm short of helping." Then he thinks to himself... 'So... a dead-dead thing... that's nice. Kind of my favorite servants.' He waits for Landro and Jack to finish securing the door with the pitons and then let Jack climb down, following his step few feet behind.
==================================================================
(OOC: So Gur didn't see anything magical, right? I mean beside the armor. Nothing like trap or on the walls/floor.)

Axid hauls up the rope and ties another rod to it and then lowers it. Mentally, “Here comes another rod” all the while keeping a sharp eye out for other creatures.

Ah, short of help? Hmm... didn't realize both of your arms and legs were broken. Maybe you should have a healer check you out. Landro chuckles at Ke'Sha's response, having still not complained about his own injuries from the fight. Thank you Jack. He adds to the human rogue as he drags over the second iron pole. The giant-kin uses the two iron rods to prop up the door much like a shuttered merchant's stall.

No problem, big guy. Happy to help

====
correct that the only magic Gur detected was the armor on the body in the pit/lower room

After the big guys handle the door, Ke'Sha follows Jack down the rope.

Jack stands, sans rope, near the edge looking down. He watches Ke'Sha watching him. You waiting on the grass to grow? or you wanna ask me something? he chuckles.

Once the two poles are lowered does Axid allow Ke'Sha to take the rope?

Bish: Jack seems to be intentionally waiting for Ke'Sha to ask him if he wants to go down first. The rogue has neither volunteered nor prepared to descend, he only came down to help Landro with the iron rods because Ke'Sha ignored the giant-kin's request to walk the metal bar across the room to secure the swinging iron door.

"What?" Ke'Sha asks irritated. "No. I thought you were going to climb down the rope and see there are no traps on the walls or floor, and I was about to follow you close behind. So if you please do that, it will be great."
==================================================================================
(OOC: Probably two misunderstandings. About the polls I thought you use small bars that are easily handed to Landro and at the same post that Ke'Sha was asked to help, Jack got down to help as well, so Ke'Sha being small thought they will do better by themselves. Hence the pun "short of help", probably not a successful pun :) , and about the decent I thought several posts ago Ke'Sha already asked Jack to go down and search for traps.
Anyway, now it seems Jack is ready to decent and Ke'Sha will follow close. Thanks.)

Axid will allow the others to use the rope. He mentally communicates “I’m letting the rope fall down to you should you need it for whatever is below”.

[Sorry for delays folks, had a long trip and then some family visiting right after that. Things should be getting back to a normal pace for me now]

The rope is gathered up and Landro ties it around his waist, the giant-kin braces himself against the door frame. Jack slides down the rope carefully, checking the walls. The walls in here are incredibly slick, like porcelain. Nobody could climb this without a rope... After several minutes he checks around the floor and the body sithout touching the latter. This fellow has been here a while...

Ke'Sha follows, sliding down the rope as well. Examining the corpse he can now see that it wears a fine suit of chainmail armor. Beside it on the ground is a lavender and green colored stone, and a a few climbing spikes. Barely visible through the discolored decaying flesh on his right arm is a marking of the first sigil...

"So, it seems his demise second your opinion Jack about climbing up." Ke'Sha observes the stone and mentally asks Gur to look at it, trying to detect magic. "He has the first sigil we got in the list from the paladin in the camp, tattooed on his skin it seems. Any thought what that might mean?" to himself he thinks, 'I will try to speak with him tomorrow... Hmmm... and may have some more use for him later on.' "Anyway, his armor is magical, if any of you mages can identify it, it may be of help." Ke'Sha carefully and closely observes the body trying to figure if it cab be touched without disintegrating.

[Ooc] Int check from any magic users wanting to tell what the purple/lavender stone is.[/ooc]

The body has begun to decay, but it should be possible to move it gently without destroying it completely

Ke'Sha will carefully observe the stone and overcome his halfling urge to put it in his pocket and instead will tell the others, "There is also colorful stone here that you might want to observe or identify."
He will also carefully remove the armor from the body and stash in a sack to show it to the guys up. Then he will consider how to stash the body as well.
