When he's finished checking the building for skulking drow GG says, "OK, seems the immediate threat is over. Now I'll look for magic." He ritual casts detect magic and then wanders, gazing at what's visible (and not already known to be magical) as well as any such aura that may permeate through containers..

Broggdar

Will gather all 8 hand axes. Offer then to anyone else and then stick all 8 in his pack if no one wants any.

Plus 16 lbs of Hand Ax.

"Give me a minute before we head back." Tornak replies. With some finger waggling, pantomimed slaps and some arcane phrases coupled with curses, he continues "Alfred! Get your lazy arse over there and open the box for me. None of your whining this time either!"

He casts an invisible mage hand and sets about picking locks on the box while he seats himself on a crate with a good eyesight line but hopefully safe distance away.

GG excuses himself to a corner after confirming no aggressive presence.

You all will hear him singing a tune that will slowly get louder and louder over the 10 minutes.

Adrik makes his suggestion, but gets some blank stares and the comment from Tornak.

Everyone has 10 minutes before the magic spell is ready.

Where does everyone want to be while the locks are being opened?

The chest being opened is drawn on the crates.

Tornak will be as far back as he can while still having sight on the chest
right side - Thieves Tools(6)Dex(4): [1d20+10]=2+10=12
moving to a new vantage point for the left side putting as much distance as he can while still being able to see the chest
Thieves Tools(6)Dex(4): [1d20+10]=20+10=30

Renwick twirls his axe again, anticipating the opportunity to just cleave the corners from this crate with his newfound greataxe, should the fiddly fingers of filching fail to free the spoils

After about 20 seconds of the Goblin looking like he was tickling the air around him, you hear a groan and a moan. About 5 seconds later the group hears a slight squeal of glee escape the Goblin, as everyone hears a slight click. Only to the Goblins eyes a hand turns palm toward Tornak, with an expectant tilt... as much as 'Alfred' the invisible hand could be expectant anyway.

Renwick stands behind Tornak twirling the enhanced Drow crafted axe, eagerly waiting to see how sharp the blade is.

=============================================================================================================
So at this point. Adrik is thinking of bed, Dargon is gathering the Axes, Renwick wants to whack the crate, Tornak wants to smack his invisible mage hand, and GG has 9.5 minutes of a ritual left.

Broggdar

Brogg looks at Renwick.

Nice axe you got there. Is that Drow Make? Nothing like a Dwarven Axe to split a skull, but that looks like it would do the trick. Did you all find any clues or anything else down stairs? As to the were these Dirt Elves came from.

The beardy halfling grins widely. Pretty sure it is. I took it off some 'Dirt elf' Barbarian some 20 minutes ago after I beat him like a bucket-drum. he chuckles, offering the specimen for examination. They all seemed to come out of some tunnel or pit or hole or some such down below this warehouse... We didn't go far down enough into it to see the other side. Mostly that was since we hadn't cleared the warehouse here before now and didn't want to leave a possible threat above.

Tornak calls out to Renwick "If you want to test that behemoth, it seems my assistant Alfred isn't half as good at picking locks as he implied." Tornak directs Renwick to the right side of the box where he failed to pick the lock. "Give it a try and let's see how well you can finesse that thing."

a red haze descends over Renwick's eyes as he swings for the unopened lock with a near-apoplectic furor!

With the finesse of a well trained master with his weapon, Renwick winds up his axe as if he is going to smash it down on the box.

With a grin and a wink, he slides the axe in his hands, and it rotates 90 degrees.

Sliding in from the side it cracks the lid off in a fell swoop. It flies to the ground, and wobbles from corner to corner a couple times.

A wide grin splits Tornaks face as he congratulates the halfling. "Finesse indeed! Shall we see what present was wrapped so nicely?" He walks over to the box and peers inside.
