"Excellent. Shall we?" She motions for the others to leave, if they do she moves alongside Cross.. "We need to talk." She suggests waiting patiently.

cross unsure now where they stood nodded and held a hand out gesturing towards the door for her to lead on

"Can we drop past the Harmonic Hall?" Mira comments as she exits the Scale. "Magic.. Here it's... Look at these people, Merrick and Serath didn't even realise the Elves.. No Krynn survived the Cataclysm. Magic here to these people its scary, they don't understand it. Plus you should see the way the treated Elsa.." Mira explains as she walks slowly towards the Hall.

cross walks along with her listening "yes iv been thinking about that... fear... something i once read about ..." he ran his hand across his face for a sec then continued "i cant quite remember but i'm working on it... but basically fear is something prevalent here and more than just the healthy alertness of a frontier or anything its something more" he racked his brain to find the snipits of fact and random script he once had but couldn't connect the dots.

"Fear makes people irrational. Stops them thinking straight, people.." Knights, she didn't mention them, but the knights... "People think that's how the Seekers wormed thier way in, how the Dragon armies were so affective.." She fixes her gaze on him.

"Imagine what would happen to us, in a place ruled by fear? Right now, through no small amount of work by me you are all tolerated, because of me. I can only do so much." Its obvious she isn't being big headed, she is stating the facts as she sees them.

Cal, Cross, Elsa, Mira and Pyros: The Loop
They do seem to be afraid... and suspicious of everything. Elsa chimes in as they leave the shop; Merrick in-tow. What I can't figure out is why? I mean, there are wild animals and huge wolves in the woods. But we're inside the walls! Things should be safe here, right? Besides, you'd think they'd be happy to have magic around to protect themselves... she shakes her head sadly.

"Not all magic is good, it can be used for good or bad. As for protection.. That damage, the fear of going out accept the festival. The dreams.. It feels connected."

cross thinks long and hard on a notion that's chewing at the back of his mind "i think...you may be on to something... now this is a half formed idea and i'm still working on it but how much do you all know of the plains of existence? have you ever heard of the astral plain or the elemental plains?" cross will stop giving them a sec to confirm if he needs to catch them up tp the ideas hes talking about the continue " all these different world so to speak have a..well... binding factor to some degree like the elements or spirit. now that's an over simplification. we have more complex places like krynn that don't have one defining factor, but have clear differences. like Elsa your world has no kender and we in krynn have no halflings. what if this world has more fear as a general rule"

"That would explain the Stories of other places, like this Waterdeep place Yasir and Artanis speak of.. I thought I remembered stories of people coming to Krynn from other places, but.." Failed bard knowledge check. "Perhaps I was mistaken."

"Of course I bet every one of those worlds have something to be scared of.. We have Dragons.. What could make these people live in fear? Magic is involved.. And... I can't put my finger on it. Either way, we need to be careful." Rubbing her temples she smiles a thought in her mind.

"You wish to cast magic? Perhaps you could aid my... Performance? Can you create sounds? Smells? We should talk in a while Cross." Giving him a kindly smile she takes Elsas hand and walks to the hall.

Cal, Cross, Elsa, Merrick, Mira and Pyros: Harmonic Hall
They converse as they move Northeast along The Loop, eventually coming to a large intersection near the North edge of town. The Songstress Inn stands on the West side of the intersection, and the river with the docks lay about a block farther north. Turning right to head East, Mira leads them past a large open area between The Loop and the cliffs with a single row of buildings between. Eventually they come to the Harmonic Hall itself, just across from the Amphitheater and its park’s massive fountain. Once again the group is struck by the stately mansion, built with small spires to mimic a castle. Inside there are a few students about working on various pieces, no doubt inspired or challenged by the performances the night before. Mira does not immediately recognize anyone present. The rest of the group join her in the entryway.

Pyros will slip past the threshold and scoot into the where it is coming from, unless someone stops him.

Pyros seems drawn to a particularly lively violin piece nearby. He begins to move towards the door, and nobody notices at first... that is, until he bumps into a pedestal nearby and knocks a vase of flowers off. The vessel crashes to the floor and the music stops. The few other people in-view turn to stare at the newcomers...

Pyros will sheepishly look up.

"HAI!!" with a huge grin on his face.

Focusing the building Mira doesnt notice Pyros slip away.. Instead raises a hand to
Elsa. "Could you wait here a moment? And watch Pyros.." Hearing the noise she glances at the group...

"For...." She curses in Harmionan. "Cross, Elsa. Get him.. Please?" Signing she moves futher into the building she offers a smile. "Madame Brodeur?" She asks hoping her reputation is enough for people to help.

Artanis is impressed by Yasir's observations, noting that the big fighter can be very lucid and observant...when sober. He laughs at the standard Yasir remark about being showered in riches. "You know, maybe they should think of attacking once in a while, rather than solely focusing on defense. But, perhaps it is up to our group to go on such a sortie. After all, we don't want to share the king's riches with the common citizens!"

Artanis enjoys the view - he's basically just killing time until they head back to the Inn. "Any suggested destination for us to wile away the hours?"
