Elsa nods and gathers up Yasir's gear as they head downstairs. Merrick and Jerry are rising, looking as if they're about to go somewhere. The Pair spot the women as they descend the stairs.

Mira slips the invite into her bag and leaves Yasir's gear in the storage room. The young man locks up after her, and the bard and the Halfling head to John's shop. The swarthy blacksmith is at work on a set of farming plowshares. He smiles and waves when the girls enter, but his expression quickly changes when he sees Yasir's sword. Don't tell me they refused to release him? he asks.

[Jenara]

"That sadly wasn't it." She replies hefting the huge blade onto a work bench with both hands. "He's gone, Artanis thinks he went after something the forced its way into the jail last night, after killing Devon and another guard it fled and we think he followed." Sighing she takes the armor from Elsa straining to place it to on the bench.

"If he's gone, he's gone, but if he is gone after the creature he'll be back. I want to stay and wait, I'd like nothing more, BUT I have people relying on me. These are not safe at the inn, they are here because I trust you to watch over them. He'll come to you, you know he will. When he does give him these and I'll write a note to give him. His pack is at the Wayfarer, help him if you can." She fumbles in her pouch, feeling Yasirs share of the Gold.

"I will leave a small sum of money with the weapons, some of his share from protecting the jail, take any reasonable storage costs you deem fit from that... And..." she turns away, unable to fix her gaze on the blacksmith. "Just tell him to be safe."

John shakes his head sadly at the loss of the guards, but asks Are they certain something else broke into the jail?

After she explains and continues, he nods again but seems uneasy. He will find it here whenever he needs it... did... did you not find his silver sword? he asked almost hopefully. He puts the gold with the other gear, treating it like so many links of chain; the value unimportant. I will see that he has whatever he needs. He hesitates when she is about to go, but a burly hand lights gently on her shoulder as she turns. Be careful out there, Mira... the woods and mountains are not to be takem lightly.. even for those of us who grew up in them... Yasir... it sounds like he is chasing something dangerous... I have no doubt he can win if he catches it; he has that strength within him. But when next you see him... be careful... Your first instinct will be to run to him... not many can face such a thing without it... affecting them on some level...

He speaks quietly to Elsa in what must be the Halfling language, who tears up a little, but nods emphatically. She gives the hairy blacksmith a tight hug around the waist and scrubs her eyes a little, smudges of soot on her cheek.

[Jenara]

"Yes, Artanis investigated himself, someone broke in, and Yasir followed. We found no trace of his blade, I hope he took it with him.." She tries to sound confident, "I'll stay safe. I have been living with the idea that he might have.. changed. I will deal with it if it happens." Holding his hand she nods solemnly. "Thank you."

Leaving the pair to talk she adjusts her scabbards again for comfort.

(Mira leaves 5gp with John along with the gear.)

John nods, knowing she understands. He seems hopeful that Yasir at least had the silver weapon. Elsa joins Mira again, Well, should we find the others or do we have any other errands.

[Jenara]

Snacks for the road, get our gear, and wait." She suggests taking her arm. "I would normally ask this, but something John said left you very upset. May I ask what? You can tell me it was private of course."

(Small bag of mixed nuts and berries and collect her gear from the room)

As they head to a general store where dried trail rations are available, Elsa responds. Oh, that. He's sweet, he just told me to be extra careful and that we'd be welcome any time we need his help or anything... and he asked me to look out for you and protect you... even if it's from... our allies... Gathering supplies only takes a few minutes and the pair find themselves back at the inn, ready to pack. The others have yet to return.

[Jenara]

"Allies?" Miras words are shaky as she walks back upstairs grabbing her gear forcing each item into the large leather pack alongside her old and well used leather armor. "Yasir, he's worried that Yasir would become one of them. I think it happens more than we know. I found the pack for the last performer, she went to the Crystal Club before she vanished."

The Crystal Club? Do you think there is a connection? What makes you think she was there right before disappearing? she asks, interested.

[Jenara]

"I'm not sure, I'd need to check with Guilliam to be sure. One of the Dreams, I a positive that I was at the Club, this man... I think he seduced me and I was letting him! I saw Yasir go off with someone else and..." She stops laughing softly. "You know how the Dreams start to get crossed over with memories and you arent sure what's real anymore? I know that she vanished one day, and I'm not sure of my dates but it was around the time of the note she received. What if the creatures are almost... recruiting? Does that sound crazy?"

(Leap here I know, but she isn't sure which way up is, its crazy enough to be true in this place)

Elsa nods along about the dreams, It doesn't help that they seems so real, either...Re... recruiting!The cleric says with alarm. Is that even possible? I guess they could infect someone... but... why?

[Jenara]

"That book said the people were treated like Cattle, herded to this Towns, Cattle need Herders." Her reply is quiet, glancing around, "Look if one of those things could slip in here and attack the Jail, they must be in the Town, music matters, you see how they treat me. The Head of the Town is a Performer..." Where was she going with this?

"They were worried Yasir was infected because he was bitten, that's why he had to stay for everyone's safety, enough exposure would ensure it happened, like any disease. You are a Healer, you've seen diseases. After the Fiery Mountain fell they say that the land was full of disease, it spread and it took years and lots of death to stop it. Someone would have to do that here. Perhaps this Doctor is trying to do that with this Crown? I'd hate to see the people I care about here affected like that. More so you.." Touching the Halfings hand she resumes her packing.

Maybe... I don't know much about were-creatures, but I don't think it works like that... but this plave is weird... maybe it's different here... the halfling said, dubiously. Don't worry, we'll just have to be extra careful and stick together. She hugs the bard and does her own packing. Before long the two are ready.

(I'm trying to portay a little of the superstition that someone who has never encountered Weres before would experience, her whole word was ravaged by disease and she has been taught those stories for a long as she can remember. People in places like Haven would have been affected for many years.)

"Maybe that's right, I'm struggling on it, if I am honest." When she has finished she exits the room and heads down the stairs with Elsa.

"All packed?" She asks sliding in alongside Jerry their legs touching, "I'm all ready to go." She adds, placing a crossbow on the table.
