CH. 8: Reunion

"I'm still debating that question," Jocelyn admits in answer to the friend question. It wasn't a lie, as she did have a hard time connecting with her little group.

"I was given this church as a test, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to seek out advice when I need it. He probably wouldn't be too helpful in this matter, now that I think about it," she admits with a sigh. "Listen, let's just ask the others what they think we should do. If they say that we should go after the pirates, then I guess we are going to need to go to Draska."

[BishGada]

Baeros grins sheepishly, "Look... I'm all for taking people alive. You saw for yourself I didn't jump into slashing and hacking... It's just that Takit got a little bit too nervous... But he is a great dog, so don't hold grudge on him."

Baeros looks at Ouragana thoughtfully, "Well, there are some options... He could be stupid and didn't made any plans. Maybe he thought he will die in the act. Another possibility is that he made some arranges, such as buying a horse of which we can ask around, and one last option is that he and his fellows planned the exact time of assassination and scheduled that they will pick him up, whether by land or by sea..."

Baeros continues, "If the third option is the actual that is occurring, they might be hiding nearby, waiting for him to arrive, but I've no idea where to look for them, and it might be a waste of time. What do you think?"

[Breila]

Ouragana looks at Val. "Do you think the man ran into that direction on purpose, or was it just the only way out?" She quickly looks at Bearos, too, and doesn't quite manage to suppress a frown before looking away and composing herself. Calmly, she asks the man. "What has brought you here, then?"

[BishGada]

Baeros smiles reassuringly, "I travel along the islands. Enjoy nature. While on the roads I sometimes work as bodyguard. I wanted to get here since I've heard about the special reef of Condeltun, as I mentioned before. It is said to inhabit very unique exotic fish. Anyway I was hired by Shalek to escort him here..."

Baeros thinks for a moment and adds "I don't believe Shalek has anything to do with the assassin. He is a merchant, and he saw the assassin in the woods. If he was his fellow, I'd imagine he would have acted then before the assassin was killed."

[Breila]

Ouragana frowns. "That is not certain. He was followed, after all. It might be in the code of conduct of an assasin group that they don't help each other if one of them is discovered and they're not certain to kill eveyone present.
But then, we've already established that this assasin probably was not a professional, so I guess you're right."

[Jenara]

"You do realize going to Draska will be hard for me too. If they remember me, I will need to fight my case." Arei replies, stopping as she puts a hand on Joycelns shoulder.

"We shall see about the Friendship, only time will tell."

[Nuke]

"We had him cornered, he jumped the fence and ran. It was only chance he ran into a dog." Val replies.

Jocelyn and Areilon head back to the inn, finding a trio of sailors having an early lunch and gossiping with Mara. Ouragana, Val and Baeros are not seen in the common room, however.

"Ohhh, there is more than just pirates on Draska," Jocelyn says. She was being pretty tight lipped about her life on Draska, but it was obvious there was more that Jocelyn was going to face than just a bunch of pirates.

Once inside, she looks around, looking for their little group and sighs. "Where did they go?"

[Breila]

Ouragana shrugs, then walks to the door. "I will let you rest, then" she says to Bearos, then leaves the room and goes back to the common room.

"Oh hello, you two" she says to Areilon and Jocelyn. "Have you found out anything? We've looked at the room, but of course it has been cleared and we found no clues whatsoever."

[Jenara]

"We know the ship, and where it ports.." Arei suggests, "Where is the big man? I don't trust him.. " she adds, glancing nervously around. "Wheres Val?"

[Nuke]

Having about enough of that male, Val joins the girls downstairs. Taking her seat she says. "I need another beer."

[HorizonsDream]

"He talks a lot, but I don't think he is a danger," Jocelyn says as she takes a seat. "And technically, he did help me out, so I'm inclined to give him limited trust at the moment. Anyway, I need everyone's opinion on what we should do. We can go to Draska and face the pirates," she says. ~And whatever else my past has in store for me,~ she thought to herself. "Or we can do something else."

[Breila]

"Well, do you have a suggestion for 'something else'?"Ouragana asks. "As for me, I've been sent here to deliver a message and now I'm left to my own devices, at my own expense. I doublt that ships will come here which need a storm sorcerer or a navigator, so someting that takes me from here would be welcome."

[Jenara]

"Trusting him is your choice." Arei shrugs, "As for what 'now'... I came here to keep my promise to Andar, beyond that I am happy to do whatever." Sitting back down she adjusts her blade, "They will come after you, we have agreed that, have we not? Either you keep moving... or we take the fight to them."

"I'm happy to go to them, either we stop them, or we die trying. What better way to go." Grinning widely she lets out a manic laugh and winks at Oura. "Unless you have any better ideas."
