An expedition with the "Seagull"

Desolate and abandoned, the evil alchemist’s mansion stands alone on the cliff, looking out towards the sea. Mysterious lights and ghostly hauntings have kept away the people of Saltmarsh, despite rumours of a fabulous forgotten treasure. What is its sinister secret?

Amon and Echo drag Brax over to shore, where Kim meets them, a healing potion from Brax's backpack in hand. The potion being poured into her mouth stops the bleeding from Brax's wounds and restores her to consciousness, but all spells are wiped from her mind, and she is so weak that even walking up to the campsite will be a real effort, as it will be for Searos in his current state.

With Gunter retreating, Troll the seacat has no opponent as he can't follow him in the shallow water and on land. So he swims around to help his partner Trall who is fighting Vee, but is intercepted by the two dolphins.

Vee, for her part, does not seem to be blinded by her anger, but finally manages a very good hit on the female sea cat, so good that the monster topples over and presents herself to a second attack, which is again successful. Both attacks together do a damage of 6 HP. The sea cat growls in pain and anger, but does not seem to want to retreat yet. She lashes out at Vee, but both her paws miss again.

Vee is now the only one still fighting, and while Trall is injured, she is probably much stronger than her!

The triton calls over to the group, in Elven: "Please, don't leave me chained here! The witch is dead, you can free me safely!" There is no way to get to her without getting into the range of Troll and Trall. The rock she sits on is steep and high enough, though, to prevent the seacats from attacking her.

Troll, very angry at being intercepted by the dolphins, lashes out at them, and with a series of clicks, they disappear into the deep water beyond the bay again, from where they came.

Second attack for Vee: 1d20, 1d6=[14], [2]
Die roll for Trall: 1d10, 1d20, 1d20=[10], [8], [12]

Amon sees to Brax's wounds, patching her up the best he can.

"No more lies!" Echo calls out to the Triton in Elvish. "Why did you not warn us earlier of the monsters? If you can summon animals to help you, why did you not do so right away? Or even before we arrived, freeing yourself without aid?" she demands. Something about this whole situation didn't smell right to her.

Initiative for Amon (1d10): 6

Amon stabilizes Brax as a standard action.
Echo speaks as a free action.

"Because the Sea Hag would have killed me!" wails the triton in response to Echo. "And the dolphins obviously cannot come up here and destroy the chain and shackles! I need your help, you are the first people strong enough who came here!"

"I saw the light of Pelor, he called me.. Yet i felt her on my back, the spiders crawling over me, they were in my hair." the dark elf coughs, hands in her hair trying to fight of invisible spiders.

"We need to break those chains, tell Vee to get on the rock, keep herself from the water."

"so you poor sea-...whatever. You thought we were strong enough? I see..." Vee's voice is ironic and her anger is clearly to hear. "One of us is nearly dead and if you don't call these dolphins again I'll get problems too!"

She turns the seacat she has attacked before and hits it again with her staff. 1d10,1d20,1d6=[4], [19], [4]

Vee turns to therest of the group: "Can maybe somebody strong go to that poor girl on the rock? I cant hear her snivelling any more!"
She don't add this to her words, but she knows that she can't stay in the water for long any more...

Despite being the only one still fighting, Vee continues to engage the female sea cat, Trall. The animal manages to hit her first, her other arm is now bleeding heavily. Despite her new injury, Vee manages to hit the sea cat again, cracking bones in her face from the sound of it.

The male sea cat has now rounded the rock the triton sits on, it will be ready to join the attack the next round.

Vee takes 5 hit points of damage and deals 4 to Trall.
Init and hit rolls for Trall:1d10, 1d20, 1d20=[7], [14], [6], damage: 1d6=5
(Init for Vee: 4+4=8)

"Miss Vee, just withdraw to land!" Amon calls to her, standing back up. "They can't reach us here; nor is the triton in any immediate danger from them. We cannot defeat them like this, let us at least wait for our strength to return!"

Gunter curses the Triton under his breath.

"After that stunt, I say we let that thing rot on the rocks," he growls.

"Gunter, that thing is still a living creature, we don't know the whole story." Brax tries to stand, tries to move towards the water but fails.

"Vee, come back." She calls weakly.

Leaving the water seems a very good idea to Vee, especially considering that there are two sea cats in the water.

So she let the Triton on the rock be a triton on a rock and turns to the land and the group. Then Vee runs as fast as she can run in the water, because she don't wanted to be hit in her back...
