Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2

A classic 2e Puzzle dungeon for High Level characters
Beware, this one is substantially longer and (IMHO) even harder than the legendary Tomb of Horrors!

"You couldn't just lend a bow, could you..." Ke'Sha mutters. "I can't communicate with her. Let's get in and figure out what has happened as soon as possible." Ke'Sha tells the group. Ke'Sha wait for Jack and Landro to lead the way, then, if they are safe, he joins and let Gur scout a bit, sharing his magic detection sight, specifically focusing on the platform where Nidrith vanished expecting to see her dusty remains.

(OOC: Guess it's better the undead than one of the PCs...)

“This place surely wants us at minimum confused and at most dead. I wonder if it fell into a room like the one we found before we camped.”
You are talkin' to the holy symbol wearing,
Ruby ring wearing, kiss stealing; Woo!
Praying/healing, beholder riding, griffin flying
Son of a blowgun, and I'm having a hard time holding these Aboleth shoes down! WOO!

Even while recognizing the usefulness of the undead, Axid knows the halfling is taunting at the same time. Years of mental training has kept his typical dwarves anger at bay. The undead are an affront to the living and the dead.

Master Axid, can you scry on an object or creature? Or must you specify a location for remote viewing?

With the thornslingers dead Ke'Sha sends Gur in to investigate the disappearence. The invisible quasit flutters past his master, spitting a thick green glob on the wall next to Jag's head as he passes. Stupid thorn-chucking motherf... uhhh... Hey boss there's a patch of this soil that is magical. Just the middle part though, like a big square of it in the center of the platform. I don't see no bits and bobs of your juju-baby anywhere.. not sure if that's good news or not...

Bring that amulet with us. Seems like a great way to save me some trouble." Jack will advance.

Since the thornslingers are no longer throwing thorns, Stephen will accompany Jack farther into the room to check for additional traps.
