"Magical.. damn. Perhaps they can resist magic? I'm sire I read it somewhere but.. Let me try something." Keeping herself near Tarlyn she drops the useless crossbow and draws a dagger while she calls on her magic.

The Elves and Half-elves of the group all begin casting in an overlapping cacophony of magical mnemonics; along with the halfling cleric and the Bard. One of the undead strikes Elsa quite hard, interrupting her prayer. Cross empowers and directs a growing mass of stinging, biting vermin as they form a swarming mass of beetles, flies, maggots and other insects prone to decomposition of cadaverous creatures. The pestilence begins shredding away the unliving flesh, damaging the two caught in its range.

Meanwhile Merrick magics up a spectral hand which appears as a misty, skeletal and wholly disquieting appendage with rotting flesh sangling from the edges. Lunging forward again, Adrestia scores another pair of strikes, whittling away at her foe.

The Mystaran mage conjures a circle of protection about herself as she hefts her magical mace in anticipation of merging into the melee. Sir Karl strikes out at the creature before him, but despite his skill the undead evades him. Artanis manages a cut on one with his magical sword, and the slash gives the full force of it's enchanted blade. His silver sword connects as well; to no visible effect. Pytor bashes the thing before him squarely in the face with his warhammer, but the blow rebounds ineffectually.

The prone Kender manages not only to regain his feet, but fires one of his most prized sling shots, though in his haste it sails high overhead.

Leaning heavy on his Hoopak, "This missing limb is really making me leg behind."

"Well, that didnt work. They have some immunity." Mira curses, "Those with magical weapons to the front, all we can do." She moves drawing her shortsword, getting ready to defend Taryln.

Karl curses whatever these were they were the work of The Dark Queen, swinging his weapon with all the anger he could muster.

Merrick speaks a strange spell, transferring a ghastly greenish glow to the already unsightly skeletal hand he controls. The floating force flies at one of the undead, trying to strike it but ultimately unable. Cross concentrates on the magical swarm, which continues to shred awsy at the undead. Magical weapons? alright, Elsa says, slaping her hands together. A bright gout of sheet-thin fire erupts before stabilizing into a flaming sword! Picking her shield back up she grins. Let's see how well these things burn.

Mira draws her iron short sword from the ill-fated gaurd, Bakki, and moves to cover Tarlyn. What in the name of heaven are they?! the woman asks.
Cursing, Sir Karl slashes hard with his magical sword into the mid-section of his opponent. The blade carves cleanly into unbleeding flesh, only stopping as it reaches the spine and badly damaging the undead. Artanis circles his own foe, magical and silver longswords a blur. The enchanted blade passes harmlessly over the creature, but the Ranger connects with the silver blade with tremendous force! The edge does no harm to the thing, but staggers it badly off balance.

Jerry circles around behind Karl's opponent and winds up for a heavy-handed swing. The undead lunges at the knight just before her blow lands, sending her off balance to hands and knees. Pyros sends another shot at the creature, but it sails overhead.

Seemingly more worried about the loss of his special stones, Pyros fires another round.

Jerry stands up, annoyed with herself, "Really? I'm supposed to be at least vaguely good at this!" Helfting her morningstar she has another go at the undead.

Merrick guides his magical hand and manages to strike the undead nerby. The greeish glow settles onto the thing, but whatever the intended effect is seems to have been unsuccessful. Cross' magically summoned swarm of biting insects continues to wear away at two of the undead; who are beginning to look quite ragged.

Adrestia lunges, severing the already shredded foe's head bloodlessly from its shoulders. The body staggers and continues to flail ineffectually for a moment before falling. Elsa slashes with her sword of flame, searing a wide gash into the least damaged opponent.

With a mighty cry, Sir Karl Sularia cleaves neatly into his foe from the opposite side. The cuts from his powerful strike meets the spine; this time bifurcating the undead across the waist! Stepping over the still-twitching body, he aids lady Jeraldine in regaining her feet. The Mystaran begins to circle around the swarm towards Artanis' foe, as the Ranger slices another decent cut into the last remaining creature. Weilding her magical morningstar, Jerry connects with her target. Though the blow does less damage than expected, the horrid thing appears to be hardly able to remain standing. Finally, Adrestia cuts it down as the swarm continues to consume the dead flesh.

"Well I felt about as useful as..." Mira starts to comment and then thinks better of it, "No stay away. I don't want to get anywhere near them." Approaching the group she lets the Crossbow fall, "Is anyone hurt?"
