The scars of ancient battles of titanic proportions mark the land. Wild magic zones, fantastical terrain, grand adventure, political strife, and even artifacts of wonder await. Choose your part and come make your mark on the world. A wide array of unconventional races and classes are available.

Slicing the blackness yet again, Nocturno grunts.

Jordek keeps trying to stay approximately 10 to 15 ft away from the combat - judging by sounds.
He's just an anxious blind ball of raw nerves at the moment stroking Nit and Wit trying to keep calm.

Bull

Decided he has waited long enough. Using his scent with eyes closed he moves forward towards the smell of reptile. And in the dark strikes.

[R6]

Bullock moves forward into the dark, carefully listening and testing the air. The sounds of the others help him orient as they continue to struggle against the creature. Raising his sword, he lands a powerful blow; eliciting a horrific shriek from the Basilisk. Dellinanth too mansges to connect; pinning the creature as Linar's longsword slips neatly through it's hide. A shuddering rasp escapes the beast as it thrashes and lies still. The tumultuous echoes of combat go eerily silent, replaced by the labored breathing of the surviving combatants...

Nocturno will crouch, using his cloak to try and cover the pebble he dropped.

"Sounded like it got you good," Linar calls gently. "Come towards me and I'll try and cure you. And if you can cover the Darkness stone with your cloak! That can work well."

***
Linar tries a CLW on whoever's sorely damaged; (Nocturno?)
He then refreshes his Armour spell and pops a Regenerate Light Wounds on himself.

Nocturno manages to eventually find the pebble by covering it with his cloak. Linar and the rest come into view around the dead basilisk. The Drow chants his prayer to Corelon and heals the High Elf fighter/cleric of about half of his wounds.

"Anyone know if any part of this reptile can be used to make a potion or tonic that can ward off petrification?" asks Linar. "Oh yes, I nearly forgot, didn't someone say that someone else wanted samples from the reptile? And we'd get something or other in return?"

While cleaning his blades the ebon-skinned elf adds, "Not wishing to be negative, but maybe we should search this cavern carefully in case there's another one of these creatures? Or any eggs, if they lay eggs?"

When done he heads off on a quiet, stealthy anticlockwise circuit of the perimater of the cavern, listening on the go..

Feeling very alone in the darkness, Jordek replies quickly to the elf's voice "Yes. Yes there are bits and things from the creature that are wanted by Bordertown. Good idea. Checking for more. And eggs. Oh my.." You hear Jordek quickly take some shallow breaths and attempt to slowly exhale. "Umm.. let me know when I can light a torch or something please?"

Removing his cloak and placing it on the ground over where it was covering the rock.

"Linar suggested that we search the rest of the cavern for more of the creatures... Usually he acts on his suggestions. Linar? You here or are you searching?" He waits a moment or two for an answer "I'll wait until he's done I think."

There's no reply from the drow who's not to be seen unless one has really sharp eyes.

"Ugly stone creature dead?" Katten asks with a curious tone, refusing to leave her friend she waits, arrow still notched.

Bull

Sheaths his weapon and pulls a hooded lantern from his pack and lights it with some sparks from his flint and steel.

We should search this place really well. There could be great riches lost in here. There are many statues that have been turned to stone. This creature may have had a stash of shiny gold and riches that could help us in our endeavors, but be ready there could be another near by.

Keeping his new found shield held up near his face and the lantern in the other he starts to move further into the cave.
